Ozias started to get closer to Katrina, his eyes filled with a cold determination. Katrina lay on the ground, her body aching from the battle, her mind racing with the realization of Ozias's overwhelming power. But just as Ozias was about to strike, Yara transformed into her amalgam form, her shadow extending and wrapping around Ozias, momentarily petrifying him.
"Move, Katrina!" Yara shouted, her voice strained as she fought to hold Ozias in place.
Katrina scrambled to her feet, feeling the brief reprieve slipping away as Ozias began to break free from Yara's hold. She steadied herself, breathing heavily, preparing for the next round of the battle.
Yara's eyes softened as she looked at her son. "Ozias, I want to talk. About how it all happened-the contract with the Führer. I wanted to give you a better life."
Ozias didn't hear her words. Plants enveloped him, and he began to transform into his amalgam form. His body changed drastically, morphing into a long, monstrous plant creature, even larger than Katrina's amalgam form. His power radiated through the basement, filling the space with an ominous energy.
Ozias (amalgam)
Without hesitation, Ozias used his immense power to push Yara away, sending her crashing into a wall. She groaned, struggling to stand, but her eyes remained fixed on Ozias, a mix of sorrow and determination in her gaze.
Meanwhile, on the 12th floor, Camilla observed the battle through security cameras. She watched intently for a moment, then turned and made her way to the rooftop. She climbed down a metallic ladder and disappeared into the night, leaving the chaotic scene behind.
Back in the basement, Katrina transformed into her amalgam form, her body growing taller and her claymore glowing with a fierce energy. She knew the battle ahead would be grueling, but she had no choice but to face Ozias head-on.
The battle began with a flurry of attacks. Katrina charged at Ozias, swinging her claymore with all her might. Each strike was met with a counterattack from Ozias, his plant-like appendages lashing out like whips. The ground shook with the force of their blows, debris flying in all directions.
Katrina knew she was outmatched. Ozias's power was immense, his control over the plants giving him an almost insurmountable advantage. But she refused to back down. She unleashed a pair of charged claymore attacks, slicing through the dense foliage surrounding Ozias. For a moment, it seemed like she might gain the upper hand.
Ozias roared, summoning a massive wave of roots that crashed into Katrina, sending her sprawling. She quickly recovered, her eyes blazing with determination. With a mighty leap, she climbed the floors, breaking through the ceiling of the basement, and then descended with a powerful attack. Her claymore glowed brightly as she struck, a shockwave tearing through the building.
A large portion of the structure crumbled, the impact shaking the entire building. Ozias was hurt but still standing strong, his monstrous form showing no sign of weakness. He looked at Katrina, his eyes filled with a mix of anger and something else-perhaps a flicker of doubt.
Yara, still struggling to stand, called out to Ozias. "Please, Ozias, listen to me. We can fix this. We don't have to keep fighting."
Ozias paused for a moment, considering her words. "Do you really want to fix all our problems, Mother?"
"Yes," Yara said, desperation in her voice. "I want to make things right."
Ozias's expression softened slightly. "Then there's only one way. We must fuse. Only then can we truly become powerful enough to change everything."
Yara hesitated but then nodded, her resolve firm. "If that's what it takes, I'll do it."
Ozias summoned a rope made of roots, handing one end to Yara. They stood facing each other, each holding their end of the rope. They began to chant in unison, their voices blending into a strange, ancient incantation. "Virenos magnus, sol et luna, anima unita-"
As they spoke, an energy enveloped them. Their souls glowed brightly, and the room filled with a blinding light. Katrina and Tisha watched in awe and fear as Yara and Ozias fused into a single entity.
The fusion completed, and before them stood Yazias, a towering, powerful being, its presence radiating strength and authority. Yazias turned to Katrina and Tisha, its voice a blend of Yara's gentle tones and Ozias's commanding presence. "Goodbye, Katrina. Everything will be okay now."
With a final push, Yazias's shadow extended and enveloped itself, sinking underground and disappearing from sight. The basement fell silent, with no clue as to where Yazias had gone.
Katrina and Tisha stood alone in the wrecked basement, the silence heavy around them. They looked at each other, their faces a mix of relief and confusion.
As they surveyed the damage, Katrina noticed a charm lying on the ground. She picked it up, her eyes widening in recognition. "This...this is the Miracle Charm," she said, her voice filled with wonder. "I read about it in the soul's book. It's said to have saved a village from a meteor. It can fix things."
Holding the charm tightly, Katrina closed her eyes and focused. A warm glow emanated from the charm, spreading throughout the building. The walls mended, the floors reformed, and the debris vanished. The building restored itself to its former state, the charm's power working its magic. Once the task was completed, the charm disappeared, its purpose fulfilled.
Katrina sighed with relief. "It's over," she said, turning to Tisha. "Let's go home."
The two of them made their way back to Katrina's home, the journey filled with a quiet sense of peace. Once there, they had lunch, the simple meal bringing a sense of normalcy to the chaotic events they had just experienced. They talked about Yazias, reflecting on the events and what it meant for their future.
"Do you think they'll be okay?" Tisha asked, her voice filled with concern.
Katrina nodded. "I think so. Yara has always wanted to protect Ozias. Maybe now, they'll find a way to coexist peacefully."
They shared a moment of silence, each lost in their thoughts. Despite the uncertainty of what lay ahead, they felt a sense of closure. For now, they were safe, and that was enough.
The chapter ended with Katrina and Tisha sitting together, the sunlight streaming through the windows, casting a warm glow over them. They were battered and bruised, but they had survived. And in that moment, everything felt like it would be okay.
