The sun was high in the sky, casting dappled shadows through the trees in the small village park where Katrina and Feyverk sat on a wooden bench. The atmosphere was serene, a stark contrast to the chaos they had recently endured. Katrina turned to Feyverk, her expression serious.
"We need to find Laska again," Katrina said, her voice determined. "We need to get information out of him, even if we have to torture him to find out where Camilla is."
Feyverk laughed at Katrina's malevolent suggestion. "I didn't know you had such a dark side," she teased, but her eyes held a glint of approval.
Just then, a familiar figure appeared, stretching and contorting as he emerged from the shadows. Laska's usually playful demeanor was replaced with fury. "You ruined my plans," he snarled. "Now, you'll pay!"
Katrina and Feyverk stood up, ready for the confrontation. Laska stretched his limbs, his body elongating and snapping back with a force that showed he was done playing games. The battle began with an intensity that caught both women off guard.
Laska's elastic limbs lashed out like whips, striking with precision and power. Katrina dodged and countered with charged punches, her fists crackling with energy. Feyverk unleashed bursts of fireworks, aiming to disorient Laska, but he was quicker and more agile than before.
"You're stronger than before," Feyverk noted, dodging another strike.
Laska grinned, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Did you think I was giving my all before? Now you'll see what I'm truly capable of."
With a swift movement, Laska's arm elongated and wrapped around Katrina, lifting her into the air. Feyverk launched a series of fireworks, trying to free her friend, but Laska used his other arm to swipe at Feyverk, sending her sprawling to the ground.
Katrina focused her energy and delivered a powerful punch to Laska's arm, forcing him to release her. She landed gracefully, her eyes blazing with determination. Feyverk got to her feet, her hands glowing with firework energy.
The battle raged on, Laska using his elastic powers to evade and counterattack with brutal efficiency. He seemed unstoppable, his confidence growing with each passing moment. Then, with a sudden and swift movement, he grabbed both Katrina and Feyverk, hurling them high into the air.
As they plummeted towards the ground, Laska's hands grew larger, ready to smash them. But before he could, a large rock came hurtling through the air, striking Laska and knocking him back. Katrina and Feyverk landed safely, looking around to see who had intervened.
A girl stepped out from behind a tree, her expression determined. "I saw everything," she said. "I had to help." She extended a hand. "I'm Petra. Looks like I'm not the only one with powers after all."
Katrina and Feyverk exchanged glances before shaking Petra's hand. "Thanks for the assist," Katrina said.
Before they could continue their conversation, another boy appeared, wearing a large hat that obscured his face. With a flick of his wrist, everything around them began to float, including Laska, who was now free from the rock's grip.
Laska and the boy exchanged a look before the boy said, "We'll deal with them later." With that, they floated away, leaving the trio suspended in mid-air.
As the floating effect wore off, they gently descended back to the ground. Petra sighed. "I wonder when I'm going to get rid of these kids."
Katrina turned to her, curious. "Do you know who they were?"
Petra nodded, brushing dirt off her hands. "Ever since I got the power to control rocks, Camilla tried to recruit me. I said no, so now her 'soldiers' are after me."
