I went to form and sat next to Callum. He's probably the only friend I've made in this school. No one wants to be friends with the naughty kid.
Mr Clarkson: we have a new student please welcome Denzil Kelly. Denzil if you go and sit at the back next to James
He sat next to me and we started talking.
Mr Clarkson: as you know this week is assessment week. I don't want you all to stress out about them it's just to see what you've learnt and any gaps in your learning. Right if I call your name you have to stay behind. James, Callum, Kian, Layla and Kay
James: but I haven't done anything
Mr Clarkson: I never said you did
James: then why do I have to stay behind?
Mr Clarkson: do you have to be so argumentative?
James: you're pissing me off
Mr Clarkson: carry on you can go to the cooler
James: fuck off
Mr Clarkson: outside now

I grabbed my stuff and walked out. I was walking around the school when David stopped me
David: shouldn't you be in lesson?
James: I'm going toilet
David: with all your stuff?
James: yeah?
David: what happened?
James: Clarkson pissing me off
David: why?
James: he told me to stay behind after the lesson but I didn't do anything
David: it's not always a bad thing. It could be that he has something to talk to you about and he didn't want to tell you in front of the class
James: but
David: there's no buts James. You overreacted and now you're gonna be in trouble for it. Now I think you should go and apologise
James: no
David: it wasn't a question. Come on
We walked back to my form room and David knocked on the door. Mr Clarkson came out
David: James has something he wants to say to you
James: I'm sorry for overreacting. I just thought I was in trouble and it angered me
Mr Clarkson: I understand that but we need to find different ways for you to express your feelings instead of these angry outbursts
James: I know
Mr Clarkson: you wanna come back in?
James: okay

I went and sat back down next to Callum.
James: what are we doing?
Callum: just revision
James: that is so boring
I put my head on the desk
Mr Clarkson: James head up please.
James: I'm bored
Mr Clarkson: get on with some revision
James: I don't have any. I left it at home
Mr Clarkson: what's your first assessment?
James: erm physics I guess
Mr Clarkson: work with Callum
Denzil: what am I doing?
Mr Clarkson: the same
I just stared out the window until the bell rang. I got my stuff and went to leave
Mr Clarkson: James I need to speak to you
I stayed and there was a few of us.
Mr Clarkson: right so you all have racked up your negative points since the start of term so you are on a behaviour report to me. Fail this and it goes up to head of year then we'll have a meeting with your parents
He gave us our reports. I read my targets
1) don't get distracted
2) complete all work set
3) don't walk out
4) No swearing
5) don't be late
I looked at everyone else's report and they only had 3 targets
James: why do I have more?
Mr Clarkson: because you've racked up the most out of the whole year. Your reports are to be given to your teachers at the start of your lesson. At the end of the day you come and find me so I can sign it. It also needs to be signed by a parent

We walked to science and I sat down next to callum and Denzil.
Mr Mead: right everyone settle down. If you're on report please put it on my desk
I got up and put it on his desk
Charlie: oh sorry bad man
James: fuck off
Mr Mead: James can you hand out the papers please?
I got up and started handing out the test papers.
Mr Mead: James the peach one is yours and the green one is Jess'
I finished handing it out and sat down
Denzil: why is yours a different colour?
James: I have dyslexia so it helps me read
Denzil: oh okay
Mr Mead: if you need the toilet I suggest you go now. You will not be allowed during the exam. If you have a water bottle you should remove the label. Once you've written your name at the top of the paper you can begin. You have an hour from now.
I opened the paper. The first question was about some boy on a trampoline. It was something about energy. I put my hand up
Mr Mead: yes James
James: so you have a calculator I can use?
He passed me one and I put in the equation and pressed equals. 135.
Looks about right. I got to the next question and I didn't understand the rest. I put my hand up
Mr Mead: what's up James?
James: can I go toilet?
Mr Mead: no you should have gone at the start
James: can I go and get some water?
Mr Mead: I have bottles of water here if you want one
James: can I just go outside?
Mr Mead: no this is exam conditions
James: just for a second
Mr Mead: enough James. The answer is no. You're distracting everyone
James: just let me fucking go outside.
I got up and threw my test at him before walking out. I was walking around school until David saw me
David: you okay?
James: yeah I'm fine
David: you sure?
James: yeah just leave me alone
I walked out to the field and was climbing one of the trees.
??: James can I have a word?
James: fuck off
I looked down and Mr Clarkson was looking up at me.
Mr Clarkson: come on let's go and talk
James: I'm alright here thanks
Mr Clarkson: come on
I jumped down and followed him to his classroom. David was already standing there. We all sat down.
Mr Clarkson: what's happened?
James: nothing
Mr Clarkson: why did you walk out of your test?
I just stayed quiet. They just kept going on and on.
David: why did you walk out?
I just snapped
James: cause I'm stupid okay! I couldn't do it! I couldn't read it properly! I'm 13 and I can't read! I hate it!
David: let's take a breath okay
James: no I don't want to take a fucking breath. I want to just be left the fuck alone. I walked out the school gates
