Aaron has been divorced from Haley Brookes for over a year and you've been dating for a few months. You knew he didn't really want things to end with her even though they were kind of sucky conditions. Deep down, you didn't feel that he'd lost all feelings for his ex-wife. Whenever they had to hand-off Jack, Haley gave you a look of hate but smiled lots at Hotch and he smiled lovingly in return and gave her an (in your opinion) affectionate hug. There was a tinge of disgust on your face as you watched the interaction and it lingered on the car ride to the office. "Y/N, are you okay?" "Are you still in love with her?" You said staring at the road ahead.. "..I don't love her in that way anymore. She gave me Jack that's only thing anybody could reasonably say I love about her at this point.." he stopped at a gas station because his gasoline was nearing empty. We sat at the pump as he continued talking, "Haley has nothing on you, sweetheart. You're smarter, more gorgeous, and an absolute badass 😉." You half smiled "Honey, I swear I don't have feelings for her anymore. You are the only person I have eyes for. I love you so much. Okay?" You nodded your head yes, "I love you more" *mwah*
