I haven't woken up with my fiancé next to me in bed in what- like two weeks?? He finished a case an hour ago.
"Hey, baby." Derek said over the phone, "Hey, honey.. you on the way?" I asked full of hope. "No, sorry.. I'm gonna be working late with this paperwork." "Oh.." "Sorry baby, I'll be home closer to midnight probably..."
That's alright.. I'll see him in the morning. We can hug and kiss and aaallllll that good stuff...
I woke up at 8:15 expecting to be curled up in my fiancé's warmth. I was wrong. In fact, I was shivering. Derek had the ceiling fan on high. I stood up in my slippers and walked around the whole house in search of my partner and he was nowhere to be found.
Oh great, the bread is open. I'm gonna beat his ass.
I decided to wait on a text from him and it wasn't until 12 pm that I received a call. "Derek." I answered the phone coldly, "Hey, baby.. bad news...." "Derek" "There's another—," "Don't you dare finish that sentence." I said through gritted teeth. "But—," "You have been gone for weeks. And before that last case you had only been home for two days. You didn't wake me when you got home like you normally would. You didn't wake me before you left this morning. You are coming home tonight or I will hunt you down and you'll be the next case for the team to solve." I brought the thunder.
"You're right... what if.... I brought you with me? Maybe I could convince Hotch to let you stay in the hotel... and then when the case is done it'll just be you and me on a little vacation?" Derek suggested, "Will we have fondue on this 'vacation'?" (Iykyk) "Don't we always, babygirl?" "I suppose..."
