I had been seeing Aaron for over a year now. We'd known each other for years though. I'd been Jack's babysitter before Foyet happened. After he lost Haley, Aaron grew distant. He hadn't called me to babysit because he was always home. But one day, he did call me. Not to take care of Jack. But to take care of Aaron.
After a few months of dating in secret, he confessed it to Jack. It went much better than I thought it would.
Today, Aaron and I are taking Jack to a theme park. "Which ride do you wanna go on first?" I asked, "Uhh.. that one!" The ride he pointed to had an hour long wait. "You sure? It'll take an hour to get on the ride" I informed him, "That's too long!! Let's go onnnn that one!" This line was only 5 minutes long. We rode it a couple times back to back. "Ooo! Can we get Dippin Dots??" I looked at my boyfriend for confirmation. He gave a thumbs up. "Yippie" After ordering, I pulled out my card, "What do you think you're doing?" Aaron mumbled, "Paying?" "Not on my watch.." he slipped the employee a twenty, "Keep the change" "Aaron" I grumbled as Jack walked ahead, "I could've gotten that" "You already paid admission" "I get a hefty discount on it. And I wanna treat you guys today... let me do that please" "Mmh" "Please Aar" *bats eyelashes* "Fine" "Great" I pecked his lips.
We finished our sweet treat a few minutes later, "Woah!! That ride looks awesome! Can we go can we gooo??" "Sure, throw away your trash first" Jack tossed his container in the garbage and started running, "Jack don't ru— shit." He said the last word quietly as I gasped. "Jack!" *crying* "You're okay buddy" Aaron picked up jack who had scraped his knee. Luckily, I came prepared. "Jack, this is gonna burn sweetie. I'm sorry.." I wiped his bloody knee with a peroxide wipe. "Owww!!" He wailed, "It's okay.. I'm almost done." I fanned it with my hand and put on a large bandaid. I kissed the bandaid, "All better right?" "Yeah.. thanks mom" I looked at my boyfriend with wide eyes. "W- what'd you say?" "I said thanks mom" my eyes began to water, "Are you okay?" "I'm great buddy" I gave him a tight hug. "Now let's get on that ride"
