*Reid's POV*
When my 9th grade daughter came into the BAU with teary eyes after school, I knew somebody had messed up big time. Y/N has never been much of a crier. I mean— she cried when her goldfish died but that was in kindergarten.. but otherwise she's very well composed.
"Hey sweetie, what happened today?" "I have no friends. I don't think I ever did..." she sniffed. "What?? What about Lacy or uhmmm that other kid.. what was his name?" "Evan?" "Yeah.. him.." "Evan stopped being friends with me because of his new girlfriend Gabby who's a junior which is GROSS! And today I heard Lacy talking about me with her Cheer friends saying she was only friends with me because I'm a nerd. It's the same with everyone else who talks to me at school. They only ever talk to me if they want answers or my notes. All my so-called 'friends' were fake." Y/N blinked the tears away harshly.
I rubbed Y/N'a back and thought about what I could say. "Did I ever tell you about what happened when I was in high school?" "Only that you were 12" "Well you're in for a wild ride..."
