Crowded (D.R)

You had never been one for crowded spaces. You were very isolated and quiet. You spoke most around people you were comfortable with. For example, David Rossi, your boyfriend; you talked his ear off every chance you got. Occasionally he'd be approached by fans of his work. It was awkward for you but it had never been terrible. That was until he asked you to come with him to his book signing.

"Y/N, Amore mio, my book signing is on Wednesday at the bookshop you like down the street... I'd really love it if you could come with me..." "That sounds crowded, David" "Yes, I know... but this is really important and I want you to be here for it.. it'd mean a lot if you did..." he convinces you of things so easily! That's why you moved in with him after three months. "Ugh, fine. But you owe me" "Pasta?" "Always"

A few days later, you arrived to Rossi's book signing in an outfit that complimented his. "You look delightful, Y/N" he told you pressing a tender kiss to your forehead, "And you're quite the charmer, Dave. Better not pick up a new girl today" you joked, "Never, sweetheart.. we must get seated, the signing is beginning soon.."

You sat next to him being sure to smile and wave at the steady flow of fans; engaging in conversation with a few of them. Things were stagnant for 10 minutes or so before a huge rush came in. They were swarming like the anchovies from SpongeBob SquarePants. They were loud and in your face. You felt claustrophobic as the anxiety grew inside you. Your smile dropped and you struggled to breath while panic set over your previously calm demeanor. Rossi glanced at you when he had noticed your silence and immediately realized what was going on. "Scusaci for a moment please" he announced to his crowd of fans and took your hand in his as he guided you to a more secluded area of the shop.

"Y/N, it's alright. You're alright. I know that was a lot of people; you did very well darling. You put on that smile as long as you could, you held conversation so nicely. I'm proud of you sweetheart. Just try and breathe for me, okay? You're doing so good Y/N/N. I love you so much. You want to stay back here until you're ready?" You nodded silently, "Okay, my dear, I'll be back as soon as I can if you don't come back before the signing is over. Just focus on the delicious dinner I'm preparing for you later, amore.. I love you"
