Chapter 17: The Difference between Peck and Kiss

Taehyung stood in Jin and Hoseok's quarters, nervously biting his nails. It was late and he risked waking the pups to come see them. He had actually woken up Jin, who had already been asleep. Only Hoseok was awake, having just put the kids to sleep. The alpha was not happy about waking his pregnant mate, but according to Taehyung, some things couldn't wait—especially this.

Jin yawned, looking at his brother. "Yeah, right. You clearly don't have any bad intentions with this" he said, pointing at the book in his hands.

Hoseok who just came back from the twins room, glared at Taehyung from the corner.

"I don't!! Why does everyone think I have some ulterior motives?" Taehyung protested.

"Because you have them!!" Hoseok interrupted, keeping his voice low. "Poor Jungkook is away a lot and you are trying to court that omega. You even woke us up at this ungodly hour to show Jin Yoongi's poetry. So, connect the dots, my baby bro."he snorted as he sat down near Jin, softly massaging his shoulders.

Taehyung coughed uncomfortably..Hoseok was right..he did have some motives, but he wasn't going to admit it. "Well, if I really wanted him to be mine, I could just use my alpha voice on him. I could easily ask him to present, and he would because he really does like me. I wouldn't even need to force him."

Hoseok stopped what he was doing and gave him a death glare ..his eyes darkening in anger

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "Oh god, stop giving me those looks. I said I wouldn't. Also, why are you still here? Don't you have a home to get to or a business to run?" he asked. He had expected Hoseok to go back home soon, but the alpha didn't seem like he had any plans to do so. Taehyung was genuinely afraid of his brother's mate and this confrontation was getting on his nerves.

He smirked at Taehyung. "I'm sticking around until the prince and his omega leave... business can wait!" Hoseok stated defiantly, crossing his arms. "I don't trust you one bit and besides, he needs me here. Handling all the pups alone in his condition isn't something he should do."

Taehyung let out a big sigh. "Okay, let's not waste time. So, is this good? Can you tell me?" he asked Jin, who was flipping through the book Taehyung had given him, containing Yoongi's poetry and thoughts.

Jin nodded as he read another page. "Yeah, really good. He is exceptional. I would love to have someone like him on my team. It's amazing " Jin said, still amazed by the omega's talent. The words written in the small notebook were profound and deserved recognition.

"Can you turn these into songs you can sing?" Taehyung asked eagerly.

"With some changes and If he permits, yes!!" Jin replied, nodding thoughtfully. "But you do realize you are invading his privacy. You gave me his personal book without his permission. He might be upset. Also, if I recall correctly, he was in the process of publishing a poetry collection... so I really do need his permission to use his writing in my songs."

"I'll take care of that... but can you let him know that you are interested in using his poems?" Taehyung asked, but sighed as he noticed Jin's skeptical look.

"No ulterior motives, I promise. I just... I just want him to be happy. He is going through a difficult time and I want to bring him some joy!!" Taehyung explained sincerely. He wanted the omega to understand his genuine admiration and respect for his talents. Knowing that Jungkook had never read or shown much interest in his work made Taehyung realize the depth of the omega's self-doubt. He believed that appreciation coming from an artist like Jin could significantly boost Yoongi's confidence.

"And... when did you get to know so much about him?" Hoseok asked, still suspicious of Taehyung's behavior.

"We talked for a bit..." Taehyung replied vaguely, hesitant to disclose that he had taken Yoongi out to the forest for a late-night stroll
