Chapter 15 : The Moonlit Date Night

Yoongi stared into the dense forest that was visible through the window from his room, his breath visible in the chilly night air. The moon hung low and full in the sky, casting an ethereal glow over the landscape. Most of the pack had settled in for the night.. only sounds heard were the occasional rustling leaves and distant howls of wolves . The only people that were awake was the Alpha guards that patrolled the perimeter, in intervals. The night was indeed beautiful, with its crisp air and twinkling stars..everything Yoongi really loved.

"No Yoongi!! you can't just go gallivanting in the forest with a random alpha!!" he told himself, trying to inject some sense into his restless mind.

"But it's not just any alpha..it's my alpha!!" he countered, with a pout.

Yoongi groaned, frustrated by his inner conflict. As if on cue, his phone buzzed, Jungkook's name lighting up the screen. He jumped..feeling as though he had been caught red handed foing something wrong..Shaking his head to clear his thoughts he quickly answered the call.

"Hey, Yoonie!" Jungkook's familiar voice heard through the phone

"Hi, hyungie... Are you done for today?" Yoongi asked softly

Jungkook sighed deeply. "Yes, finally! It was such a long day. The meetings felt endless."

"Make sure you rest well then. Did you get something to eat?"

"Yeah, I did. Are you doing okay there?" Jungkook's voice was filled with warmth and care as usual, he surely was not happy about leaving Yoongi alone..but he had no other options .

"Yes, I'm fine." He replied with a smile

"Okay, I'll come back as fast as I can tomorrow. But promise me you'll stay in the room and not go into the forest like you did that day..please!" Jungkook said , concerned.He knew how the omega was so fascinated by the pack land and the forest and often talked about exploring the deep forests

"I won't, hyung!!" Yoongi replied with a sigh, his thoughts immediately drifting to the alpha who was likely waiting for him just by the family mansion's  border

They talked for a while before ending the call and Yoongi placed his phone back on the table biting his lips nervously. He glanced at the nest he had meticulously prepared. With Jungkook away, he had rearranged everything to his liking, surrounding himself with pillows, new sheets, and clothes that carried his scent...he removed everything that smelled like the alpha just so he could stay and sleep peacefully for even just one day. He lay down in the nest, trying to find comfort in the familiar smells, but his mind remained restless.

The nagging desire for wanting to feel Taheyung's scent grew stronger in him. It was as if it was the most comforting feeling in the world..it was not a surprise since he was programmed to like it, but it atill amazed him how much addictive it was. He had tried to make do with the faded scent on the card from the flowers Taehyung send taht morning..he had kept it safely under his pillows...but it wasn't enough..the scent was long gone

"If I go, I could smell him again and maybe even sleep peacefully!!" Yoongi thought

His eyes roamed the room, lingering on the window that opened to the forest. And the thought of Taehyung's scent and presence was powerful...and almost overwhelming. He knew it was risky, but the comfort it promised was too tempting to ignore. He sighed..torn between his promise to Jungkook and the deep yearning in his heart.

Against his better judgment, Yoongi found himself walking towards the spot Taehyung had mentioned. He didn't fully understand why he was lying to Jungkook and heading towards this alpha, but he knew he wouldn't be able to rest that night without the comfort of his scent. He just needed to be closer to him.And he chose not to  wear scent blockers..Maybe he wanted to see that genuine desire in Taehyung's eyes..he just wanted to be a little selfish for once...to see how someone can look at him with real desire rather than sympathy or fear.
