Rose was reading her favourite book while something strange interrupted her, a scream. Someone was calling for her. It was her mother.
"R-rose!....ROS..."
"Mom! Is that you?" she said while heading to her room. "I heard you, what's the matter? Do you need your diapers to be changed? Is it hurting? Oh, mom, i'll call the doctor!"
"No, my sweet flower. Nothing's wrong. I just wanted to see your pretty face. I don't have much to live, the only thing I wanna see in my last moments is you."
"M-mom, don't say that. You will live! Come on mom, don't make me cry!"
But it was too late, tears were dripping down on Rose's cheeks.
"No, don't cry my sweet thing. Oh look at the time, go get ready for school, I don't want you to be late again." her mom said trying to hide her trembling voice.
"Mom, no. I'm not going to school, I have to stay with you at all time, what if you start bleeding?"
"Sweetie, I need peace. Go, now!"
"I-I love you mommy." Rose said while closing the door, looking at her poor mom.
At school, 13 year old Rose felt like in a hell. Her Heaven was just her mom, she couldn't stand being far from her. But she still had to listen at all times.
"Hey Rosey Nosey! Why did you slip school? Did your mom make you do chores as a slave? I bet she did!" said Therese, the unbearable bully while following Rose along her other annoying brat friend, Amanda.
"Is your mom okay? My mom said your dad stabbed her because he's a freak alcoholic. Oh no wait, that too, but supposedly your mom cheated on him. She's like, a W-H-O-R-E, right TeeTee?"
"Shut up, that is not true. And don't call my mom that. It's not funny, or nice. It's rude."
The truth behind her mom "sickness" really was her father. He stabbed her multiple times while her mother was trying to protect her from him.
Rose knew she hated men, especially her father, who hated women. He thought he was superior. He went to jail for what he did, and her mom happily survived, everyone knew she didn't really survive tho, because the pain she felt was making her live a living hell. Rose tried to not think about all these words. She was taking care of her mom, so it wasn't really a hell, right?
This kind of thoughts were passing her mind multiple times a day. Especially in school, but it all went away when some nerd woke her up from these.
After surviving school, she went straight home. She checked her mom, she was sleeping. She couldn't see her face, since the wall was facing her, but she left her sleep. Rose knew how tired she was.
It was evening. Reading made Rose's life so much better. It relaxed her. She was waiting for her grandma who brought their food daily, when she realized mom didn't wake up. She had to eat, so she checked on her. Still facing the wall.
"Moom! Mommy!" She shook her, nothing.
Rose turned her mother and that's when she saw it, a huge puddle of blood on the blanket.
"N-no. No.... NO! MOM! MOM! MM-mom."
R.I.P, in the loving memory of Elizabeth Erin Clark, beloved mother, daughter, and wife.
Rose realised that she had a purpose in life after her mother's death. Her father's death, and along with that, mens death. She knew they deserved it.
