Seo Dae's eyes widened as she saw Jin walk up to the dummy. "Jin Myeong is the name, huh?" she whispered to herself.

Jin stood in front of the dummy. He closed his eyes and gripped his sword. "Just a little chirp on the side will do."

Take a deep breath.

Implant your foot on the ground.

"Whispering Wind, Quick Draw."

Kwaaaannggg!

The metallic clang resonated through the air. Seo Dae looked closely and sighed in disappointment. "I guess they're not the same person," she whispered to herself as she walked away.

Jin felt a glare burning his back, he scanned the area and saw Seo Dae Han walking inside the main building. "Is she the one staring at me?" Jin wondered. He pulled out his sword from the metallic dummy and sighed. "Just do the bare minimum and let the big guys do it for us," he repeated Beom Jae's words to himself.

Jin walked back to Beom Jae. "What now?" Jin asked.

Beom Jae shrugged. "I don't know. Ask someone."

By noon, the man with the list called out the names of those who had passed. The once 300 registered participants had dwindled to 38.

Beom Jae sticks his tongue out to the people leaving. "Bleeeghh! Y'all mocking me yet you didn't pass!" Beom Jae tapped Jin's shoulders. "Come on, Jin, stick your tongue out."

Jin chuckled but shook his head. "I'll pass on that one."

Beom Jae watched as the other martial artists took their leave, he grabbed his chin and wondered, "they aren't arrested? All nervous for nothing." He sighed in relief.

"Why are you two standing over there for?!! Go follow the others!" the guard shouted at Jin and Beom Jae.

Jin and Beom Jae exchanged glances and quickly followed the others. They were led to a large room, filled with seats and paintings.

When Jin and Beom Jae entered Woon-gi shot a glare and said, "these two still haven't come home with the others?" he stood up and walked up to Jin and Beom Jae. "Do us a favor and quickly leave before I lose my shit."

Beom Jae's bravado quickly falters as he hears Woon-gi's words. He felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead and his hands began to tremble. "Uhhhhh I'm sorry we'll lea-"

"Lose your shit then, I don't mind," Jin exclaimed with a straight face.

Woon-gi quickly turned his head toward Jin and squinted his eyes. He grabbed Jin's collar and said, "I dare you to repeat what you said you fuc-"

"Don't cause any trouble here."

Woon-gi looked at the man and released his grip on Jin's collar. "Who the fuck are you?"

The man bowed. "Tae Jin-soo from Cheol-yeon sect."

Woon-gi scoffed. "Quit the bullshit, what do you want?!"

Despite the tension in the room, Tae Jin's expression remained stoic, he said, "I'm suggesting we don't cause problems among ourselves."

Beom Jae pinched Jin in the back. "You're gonna kill us, Jin..." he whispered.

Jin pinched Beom Jae back and whispered, "how much money have I lost in one day because of you?"

Woon-gi huffs in annoyance. "I'm doing this for the best of us, asshole," he said as he scooted back to his seat.

Tae Jin turned his gaze to Jin and said, "please refrain from aggravating others."

Jin and Beom Jae took their seat with the others. Jin leaned into Beom Jae's ear and whispered, "what are we supposed to do here?"
