Rise of the Serpentine 🐍 Episode 10: The Green Ninja

It was a beautiful night on the Destiny Bounty. The birds were no longer singing. And if I could see any flowers I'm pretty sure they would wilt. On nights like this.......I spy on Kai.

Yep, now you maybe wondering why are you spying on him? Is there a threat to the story and it all starts with him? Well let me tell you my reason, be warned it is not for the faint of heart.

He ate the last cookie from the batch that Zane made, even when I called dibs on it first. Before you ask, 'Welll ☝️🤓 maybe he wasn't present when you made your claim' to that I call bull. I have multiple eye witnesses who heard my claim, even he heard it.

But alas there is nothing I can do about it. So, I decided to grab some blackmail as a sort of compensation. Then in the future I can use it to threaten him to get more sweats. You may call it threatening, but I see it as an investment.

So that's what I am currently doing. Hiding in far back corner away from him with my video camera on. So I just watch him look absolutely ridiculous with the Green ninja outfit on. He tried to wear the Crimson ninja outfit but it didn't fit him as well compared to the Green one.

"Fire! Unlock Fire! Uh, Fire go! Shoot flames! Oh, come on." Kai look in the mirror, "Everyone else can do it. So can you. BRING THE HEAT!" he yelled. 'This is pure blackmail gold!' I thought still recording all that's happened. Then the others found him and laughed at him.

"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase 'Fire dork,' it'll work." Cole teased. Kai turned to them taking off the mask. "How long have you been watching?" he nervously asked.

"The Green and Crimson Ninja suits. That's awesome!" Jay exclaimed in awe at the suits. Kai obviously took this moment to switch the topic. "Well, I was looking for some kind of clue from Sensei and then I found them." he said motioning to the green and crimson colored suits.

Zane however was not deterred by Kai's sudden change in topic. So he said, "But you know only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be wearing the Green and Crimson Ninja outfits. So Sensei would most likely be very—" Zane was then cut off by Kai. "I know, I know. But I thought if I just tried them on, it might help me see my true potential." he sighs, "It's not fair that you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't. Besides, Sensei's gone and we don't know when he's coming back—"

Then the sound of a door could be heard. "Hello? I'm home!" the old man's voice rang through the hall. With that all of the others ran to the old man. Kai however had to change out and put away the green and crimson suits. I took this time to sneak out of the room. I had already got my blackmail so I no longer wanted to be there.

I casually walk towards the old man after I put my video camera back in my room. While the others, mainly Jay, were talking his ears off about what's has happened since he's been away. I see someone behind him. He was taller than everyone here, he had a black helmet on his head, his skin was completely black, and bright red eyes. Oh yeah, he also had four arms.

I guess I was in my head for a long time because next thing I see is Kai tackling him down. And then the old man tells us he's a guest until we get Lloyd back. They head to the bridge to discuss about the Four Fangblades and Lloyd.

I of course ditched the meeting in favor of staying in my room. As soon as I entered my room I put my headphones on and started to blast my music. I then pulled out my book that I was reading.
