It's finally Thursday! Patrick and I are packing our bags to go to our location for our anniversary and Valentine's Day. He still won't tell me where we are going and I'm getting really eager. Patrick and I have sort of forgot about the whole Catie situation and have moved on with our lives. I never wanna see that crazy bitch again. I pack all my belongings and bring my bags downstairs next to the door. Patrick dropped Sophie off at the doggie daycare a couple miles from our house. Ella is sitting at the kitchen table coloring in her Hello Kitty coloring book.

"Mama wanna color?"

"No thank you sweetheart. I need to
finish getting ready." I've gotten used to Ella calling me her mom and every time she does my heart melts a little.

"Ella are you finished packing?" Patrick asks walking into the kitchen with his suitcase.

"Yes daddy."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes mommy helped me."

"Okay," he responds walking over towards the door to put his bags down.

"Ella honey, where's my bracelet that you were wearing the other day?"

"Uh........"

"Do you have any idea where it is?"

"Yes."

"Okay where?"

"Somewhere at the park," she says lowering her head.

"I'm never going to find it."

"I'm so sorry mommy I didn't mean to."

"It's okay Ella but you need to learn that if you're going to borrow something that isn't yours, you need to take good care of it and return it as soon as possible okay?"

She nods. Patrick comes over and wraps his hands around my waist from behind. He puts his chin on my shoulder and pull me close.

"You were very calm," he whispers in my ear.

"I don't want to yell at her."

"Why she's your daughter."

"I mean I really liked that bracelet-"

"Was it the gold one with seashells on it?"

"Yeah."

"We will find it, I promise."

"Okay."

He kisses me and then releases me. He grabs our bags and puts them in the car. Suddenly there's a knock at the front door. I walk over to get it. I am greeted by a happy Mrs.Kane.

"Mrs.Kane. Hi it's so nice to meet you! I'm Olivia," I say extending my hand. She pushes my hand aside and gives me a hug. I've never met Patrick's family before and he's never met mine. He promised me we would meet each other's families after the hockey season.

"Hello Olivia! Oh it's so nice to finally meet you. I've heard such great things. Oh and please call me Donna, Mrs.Kane makes me feel old," she responds with a giggle.

"Mom?" I hear Patrick ask.

"Patrick! Oh I've missed you."

"I've missed you too mom. Thanks for taking Ella."

"Oh it's my pleasure to see my granddaughter. Where is she?"

"Grandma!" Ella shrieks and jumps up from her chair. She runs towards Donna and gives her a big hug.

"Hello! How are you?"

"Good," Ella giggles.

"Well that's good. Wanna go see grandpa and your aunts?"
