Alex woke up to the gentle sound of the inn's door chime, signaling the arrival of another guest. He slowly opened his eyes, blinking away the sleep that remained. The room was cozy and warm, a stark contrast to the cold outside. light streamed through the window, casting a  glow on the wooden walls. The thick quilt that covered him was soft and inviting, but he knew he couldn't stay in bed forever.

He stretched, feeling the stiffness from his journey beginning to ease. Sitting up, he took a moment to gather his thoughts. Snowdin Town. It was a place of safety (or so they said), and he was determined to make the most of his time here. Despite the warmth of the room, he felt a pang of anxiety. What if the townspeople were afraid of him? His appearance might  drew stares and whispers.

With a sigh, Alex climbed out of bed and dressed quickly, layering his clothes to ward off the chill outside. He pulled his hoodie over his head, making sure the hood cast a shadow over his face. He didn't want to scare anyone. The last thing he needed was to cause a panic in this peaceful town.

He packed up the supplies Gerson had given him and made sure he had everything he needed. His mind was buzzing with questions and possibilities. What kind of people lived here?

Stepping out of the inn, Alex was greeted by a crisp, refreshing breeze. He pulled the hood tighter around his face, hoping to avoid drawing attention. The town was blanketed in snow, and the air was filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter. Children played in the snow, building forts and throwing snowballs.

He took a deep breath, feeling a sense of calm wash over him. The town was alive with activity, each building adorned with festive decorations. A large Christmas tree stood in the center of the town square, its lights twinkling brightly.

Alex walked through the streets, his head slightly bowed to keep his face hidden. He took in the sights and sounds of Snowdin. The smell of fresh-baked goods wafted from a nearby bakery, and he made a mental note to stop by later. Various shops lined the streets, each one offering a glimpse into the town's community.

He passed by a shop with colorful knick-knacks displayed in the window. The shopkeeper, an elderly rabbit, waved cheerfully at him. Alex quickly nodded in return, keeping his face obscured. He couldn't help but feel a pang of anxiety. Everyone here seemed so friendly, so open.

As he continued his walk, Alex noticed a small park where a group of children were building a snowman. One of them looked up and spotted him. "Hey, mister!" she called out, her voice full of curiosity.

Alex froze for a moment, then waved back cautiously. He didn't want to be rude, but he also didn't want to scare her. The girl's friends soon joined her, and they all waved enthusiastically. Alex felt a small smile tug at the corners of his mouth. Maybe, just maybe, things would be okay here.

He took another deep breath, feeling a renewed sense of Determination. Undyne's encouragement echoed in his mind, and he knew he had to keep moving forward. With a determined look in his eyes, he set off to explore the town and uncover the answers he sought.

The path led him past a series of quaint cottages, each with smoke curling from their chimneys. The air was filled with the scent of pine and the distant sound of bells.

As he walked, he found himself at the edge of the town square. In the center, the giant Christmas tree stood tall and majestic, its branches adorned with twinkling lights and ornaments. Beneath the tree, a group of carolers sang softly, their voices blending harmoniously with the gentle snowfall.

Alex paused to listen, his heart swelling with a mixture of awe and calm. This town, with its warmth and beauty, felt like a haven. It was exactly what he needed. The carolers finished their song and dispersed, leaving Alex with a sense of calm and determination.

He glanced around, spotting a cozy diner on the corner. The windows were fogged up from the warmth inside, and he could see patrons enjoying hot drinks and pastries. Alex decided to head in, hoping to find some breakfast and maybe learn a bit more about the town.

Inside, the diner was bustling with activity. The walls were adorned with paintings of snowy landscapes, and the air was thick with the smell of fast food and freshly baked bread. Alex approached the counter, keeping his hood up, and ordered a simple breakfast. The bartender (a man made of completely flame and somehow his cloth were not burning), as he handed over the tray.

Taking a seat by the window, Alex looked out at the bustling town.  This was a new beginning, a chance to start fresh. As he sipped his coffee and nibbled on a pastry, he made a mental list of things to do. He wanted to visit the shops, talk to the locals, and maybe even improve his abilities as he knew something could always go wrong.

For the first time in a long while, Alex felt peaceful. Snowdin Town was more than just a stop on his map ; it was a place of a vibrant community. but he had to keep moving in order to be better.

He paid his tab, leaving a few extra coins as a tip for the friendly barista. As he stood up, he glanced around, spotting a nearby customer who looked like a local.

The customer was a friendly-looking bear monster, sipping a steaming cup of tea while reading a book. Alex approached, still keeping his hood up to obscure his face. He cleared his throat, trying to sound casual.

"Excuse me," Alex said softly, hoping not to startle the customer. "Could you tell me where I can find the library?"

The bear monster looked up from his book, his eyes twinkling with curiosity. "Oh, the library? It's not far from here," he replied cheerfully. "Just head out of the café, turn right, and walk down the main street. You'll see it on your left, next to the town hall. You can't miss it."

Alex nodded, grateful for the directions. "Thank you," he said, offering a small smile that he hoped was visible under his hood.

"No problem at all," the goat monster replied with a friendly wave. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask."

With a final nod of thanks, Alex left the café and stepped back into the snowy streets of Snowdin Town. The crisp air was invigorating, and he felt a renewed sense of purpose. He pulled his hood tighter around his face, ensuring that he remained as inconspicuous as possible.

Following the goat monster's directions, Alex walked down the main street, taking in the sights and sounds of the town. The buildings were charming and quaint, each one adorned with festive decorations. The snow crunched under his boots as he made his way toward the library.
