Matt's P.O.V

All I can see is the sidewalk in front of me, everything in my peripheral vision blurred together. My mind is racing with so many different thoughts, but the root of all of them is the one and only, Bria. The audacity that girl had, thinking she could kiss me and get away with it? No fucking way. I'm assuming that Gus told Steve what happened, and Steve already beat the shit out of her, so I'm going to do something that will hurt her in a different way.

I make my way to Jerbos house, it's not very far from mine, only a ten minute walk. I've been there multiple times, since me and Jerbo had been friends practically since birth. But I'm not really going to see Jerbo, I'm on my way to see Jerbo's dad. Jerbo's dad was the coach of the grudgby team, and since I'm the star player, and he loves me, he will listen to anything I say. Can you see where I'm going with this?

"Hello? Oh hey Matt! What's up?" Jerbo says as he opened the door. (I just rewatched FtF, the height difference is killing me 🙏)

I take a deep breath to pull myself back to reality before speaking, "Hey, is your dad home?"

"Uh, Yeah? Why?" He asked skeptically.

"I need to talk to him."

"About?"

"Bria, I need that bitch kicked off the team."

"Wait, why? What'd she do?" Jerbo asked, eyes wide and interested.

"I- uh..." I trailed off.

"Oh. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to-"

"No, it's okay. So, long story short, she showed up at my door this morning, basically let herself in, proceeded to kiss me and not let me pull away, even though I tried, and then she got yelled at by Gus. Oh! And I'm also pretty sure Steve best the shit out if her by now."

"Oh- oh my titan Matt, are you okay?" Jerbo asked, jaw hanging open as he processed the new information.

"Yeah, yeah of course." I replied half-heartedly. "I've dealt with her bullshit my entire life. She's lucky I haven't done anything about it until now."

"Okay.. as long as you're alright." Jerbo said before stepping off the the side to let me in. "My dad's in the living room."

"Okay, thanks Jerbo." I say as I walk into the living room, where I find Jerbo's dad sitting on the couch, reading the paper. "Hey, coach!" I say cheerfully, sitting down on the opposite side of the couch that he was sitting at.

"Oh, Matt! How are you? And what brings you here?" He asks, placing the paper down on the sidetable beside him.

"I'm doing alright.. and I'm here to talk to you about Bria." I say, my facial expression becoming more serious.

"What about her? Are you guys finally dating? It's pretty obvious that she liked you." He replied, completely oblivious.

I sighed before speaking. "I know she does. But I want her kicked off the team."

"Oh! Why do you want that?" He asked. "Did something happen?"

"Uh, Yeah you could say that."

"Well, do you think that having her on the team would affect your performance?"

"Yes, 100%."

"Well, we don't want that to happen.. I guess I could kick her off. It's not like she benefited the team that much anyway."

"Alright, thank you." I say with a sly grin as I get up off the couch. I wave goodbye as I walk out of the living room into the foyer where Jerbo was standing.

"I have no idea why he likes you more than me." He said in a sarcastic tone, rolling his eyes at me.

"I'm assuming that it's because I'm just better than you." I said as I opened the door. "I'll talk to you later, I have to go deliver the news!"

I closed the door and began my commute to Bria's house. It's around halfway between mine and Jerbo's houses, I passed it on the way here. I take a sharp inhale as I make my way up the white steps to knock on the door. I can see a figure coming closer through the clouded glass on the door.

"Hel- Matt!" Bria exclaimed, a smile appearing on her face as soon as she saw me. "Did you finally change your mind?"

I held back a laugh when she said that. Her facial expression and tone full of naive optimism and hope. And it didn't help her cause seeing her with a black eye, a busted nose, ripped ear, busted lip and bandages covering her arms and legs. Clearly Steve showed no remorse.

"What happened to you?" I asked, clearly I already knew what happened, but she doesn't know I know.

"Oh! Some random coven scout attacked me earlier, I have no idea why." She shrugged. "Anyway, have you changed your mind? Are you going to give me a chance?"

"Hah, no." I said, a smirk appearing on my face as I saw her expression fall. "If you couldn't tell, I'm not interested in you in the slightest. You need to move on."

"Bu-"

"Also, I don't know how you couldn't tell, but I am gay, so, that doesn't help your cause, does it?"

"Oh! No.. I guess not.." She muttered, her hands balling up into fists beside her.

"Yeah. But I did come here to tell you something." I said in a chipper tone, one that Bria commonly used, as if our roles had swapped.

"That is?" She inquired, looking into my eyes.

"You got kicked off the team."

"I-I.. WHAT." She exclaimed, a look of panic in her eyes. "You- you know my parents.. they- they... oh my titan.."

I looked at her with a satisfied smile. I knew that grudgby meant two things to her. 1. It was her passion, her reason to get up in the morning. She loved the sport. And 2. She made a promise to her parents that she would never quit or get kicked off the team, as they had poured too much time and snails into the sport.

"Sorry not sorry. Maybe if you were a decent human being and respected personal space, CONSENT and social cues, you wouldn't be in this situation." I said with a smile before quickly turning on my heel and making my way back to my house.

I took a sigh if relief, seeing Bria's face so disoriented and confused made me immediately feel 100x better. I made it to my front door within a matter of minutes, opened the door and hurried my way up to my bedroom. Gus was laying on the bed, sprawled out, staring at the ceiling. He jerked his head up to the door as I opened it and closed it swiftly. I sat beside him on the bed as he sat up into a cross-cross-applesauce position.

"Why do you look so happy all of a sudden? you looked so shaken when you left." Gus asked, I couldn't tell if it was curiosity or concern lacing his gaze.

"Oh well, you know how it goes.." I hug, a sly smile painted on my face.

"Uh.. no I don't think I know how it goes."

"Oh, well, let's just say, Bria got what was coming for her." I said with a laugh, watching Gus's face light up.

"Oh!"
