Y/N was the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Robert Sink, who was given command of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, which was part of the 101st Airborne Division at Camp Toccoa. The young girl was the only female medic in the Dog Company and completed her medical training with Eugene Roe, who was one of the medics in Easy Company.

It was night in Camp Toccoa, and nearly everyone was asleep when Y/N finally finished sorting the new medications. She quickly packed her stuff and then left her treatment room to walk to her room. Just before she reached her barracks, someone called her quietly. She turned around just to see Eugene's face. „Hey, Y/N, I need your help for a moment.", the medic said, and she sighted but then went over to him, entering his room. „What is it?" „This is Staff Sergeant William Guarnere, nicknamed Wild Bill. I have no idea what's going on with him. He's been shaking for, I guess, a half hour now, and he got cold sweat all over him." Eugene said, watching Y/N take off her bag and kneeling beside Wild Bill's bed. „Mhm, has he had an infection or something?" „No." „Hey Bill, I'm Y/N, I'm the medic from D-company. Aside from the cold sweat and trembling, do you have anything else that makes you feel sick or uncomfortable?" She asked the dark-haired man in the bed. „Ma'am, please do not tell my superior, but I got a terrible fear of heights." He whispered, nearly inaudible in fear of anybody else hearing him. The girl first looked back at Eugene, who just stood next to them, watching Bill carefully, then back to Bill and said in a calming voice: „Don't worry, Bill, I won't tell a soul. Just rest a bit and drink something, ok? I will talk to Doc over here, and we will see what we can do." She smiled and stood up. Eugene and Y/N walked a bit away from Bill and then started to talk. „He got a fear of heights, Y/N. You know, we have to tell 1st Lieutenant Sobel." Eugene said quietly. „I know, but you know what he will do: he will kick him out of the airborne." „I know, but what else should we do?" She looked over at Bill for a moment and then said: „Give him a few days off of training; send him to my office after he's able to come out of bed again." „Alright, thanks, Y/N." Eugene said, trying to smile and then went over to Bill again. *A few days later*A knocking made Y/N flinch a bit, and she turned her head to the door. „Come in!", she yelled, and she saw Bill a few seconds later entering her treatment room. „Good morning, ma'am. I am Stuff Sergeant Bill Guarnere, I was sent here from Combat Medic Eugene Roe." „Hey, Bill, you're feeling better?" Y/N stood up with a smile and approached Wild Bill within a few seconds. „Yes, ma'am, thank you. Doc, Eugene said you could help me because of my fear of heights." Bill looked shy and embarrassed. „Yeah, well, it's not like I could take away your fear, but I can help you fight it." Bill nodded and sat down on the lounger. „What exactly scares you?" Y/N sat down behind her desk again. Bill kept his eyes away from Y/N, too ashamed to even look directly at the medic. „I don't know, Doc, I just get really nervous." „Ok, there's nothing to be ashamed of, Bill. We got this." She said, still smiling friendly.The two of them spoke a bit longer and then came to an end.„And the next time you get afraid, just do what we talked about. Breathe in and out, stay calm and try to think about a good thing." „Thank you, Doc.", Bill said, relieved and left the medics' office.*The night after E-Company's first jump*„Come on, Y/N! We are going to be late." Some soldiers from Dog Company yelled and banged against my door. „Yess, I'm coming. Stop banging against my fucking door!" She yelled back, trying to close her skirt. As she finally managed to get herself ready, she quickly took her purse and ran out of the room. „Fianlly! We thought you'd be stuck in there." The boys laughed, and the group started to walk towards the pub. As they entered the pub, she saw some boys from Easy sitting at the tables; one of them was Eugene. „Hey boys, please order a drink for me too; I'll be back in a minute." The young medic said, and made her way over to Gene's table. „Hi Gene." She welcomed her friend and hugged him. „Is Bill here?" „He should be right there, with Toye and Malarkey." The man pointed to the dartboard. „Thanks." Y/N smiled and quickly walked through the room full of soldiers from different companies. „Look who's here, my lifesaver." Bill yelled happy and hugged Y/N. The girl just smiled and said Hi to the other soldiers, then turned back to Bill. „How was the jump?" She asked and earned a wide grin. „You really saved my life, Doc. Without your help, I couldn't have done it."„Hey, get your hands off of our medic, bro." Y/N heard some boys from her company calling. „Calm down, boys; I won't hurt her!" Bill responded and watched Y/N make her way back to her own Company. „You better not; she's the lieutenant colonel's daughter." A man from Dog Company said, added winking: „But don't worry; you're fine as long as you don't fuck her." Bill watched the blond man walk away and mumbled to himself: „Like I was only talking to her to fuck her. Cocksucker!" *Later that night*Nearly the whole pub was now filled by drunk soldiers and girls who were searching for one-night stands. Bill sat in one corner of the pub, watching Y/N dancing with the blond soldier from Dog Co. „As if you could protect or love her." He mumbled over and over again. „I think I need some fresh air." Y/N said, laughing without any reason. Alright, maybe outside you could show me what this pretty little mouth can do." The blond man said, smirking. Bill watched the two of them stumble out of the pub, and got up to follow them, since he had no good feelings for this guy. „Come on, Y/N, just one little blowjob." He heard as he came out of the pub. „No, I don't want to, Tony." Y/ns quiet and frightened voice could be heard. Bill didn't hesitate and grabbed Tony by his jacket to pull him away. Bill threw him to the ground with full force and beat him until he lay there, covered in blood and barely able to move. After that, he walked over to Y/N. „Its ok, I'm here." He whispered and took her into his arms.
