Today is the day, the day of the tournament has come.
Liu Kang went first to face his first opponent. Serena has to watch Liu Kang fight.
Her first opponent will be Princess Kitana. However, she never met her before but it seemed like there's something about this girl that is so familiar.
Serena then saw Shang Tsung sitting on the throne watching and winking at her, She gave him a snooty look.
Shang Tsung stood up and began his announcement,
"From this moment on, my island will be your battleground."
He eyed Liu Kang and pointed it out.
"Liu Kang, you will be first, Let Mortal Kombat begin."
Then Liu Kang began to fight after putting the staff down.
While watching them fight, Serena had never seen him so brave attractive and handsome.
Serena shakes off her thoughts. "What am I saying? This is no time for Love!"
However, Liu almost reached his flawless victory if he would have stood a chance.
Eventually, Serena watched Liu Kang kicking his opponent in the chest, causing his ribs to be shattered.
"Yes!" Serena exclaimed, happy he had won.
Shang Tsung stood up from his throne, declaring, "The winner is Liu Kang."
Liu Kang frowned but didn't say anything.
Shang Tsung chuckled as he walked towards Liu Kang's first opponent and stared at him coldly. "Your soul is mine."
"No!" He screamed in pain as Shang Tsung used his power to steal his soul, killing him.
Serena's face went pale as she had to watch the horror. She started to feel sick as she couldn't bear to watch.
Shang Tsung grinned evilly. "Fatality."
