Adrian

"Don't pretend like you don't want to marry me," I say to Taylor as she walks into the Falcone Mansion.

"You're so damn infuriating," She yells at me while hitting my chest.

My workers in the house take a glance at me, asking if I need help with their eyes. To which i respond with a shake of my head.

I sigh as I grab both of Taylor's wrists and pin them above her head and push her against the wall, "You need to calm down. You're going to be my wife soon, and I wouldn't want you to get hurt. Okay?"

She looks at me with shock as to what I just did and casually nods her head at me, "Okay."

I let go of her wrists and her body relaxes as she straightens out her dress.

"You're gonna have to stay here from now on, Scott," I say as I begin to walk to the kitchen, "You can either share a room with me or you can stay in one of the spare bedrooms across the hall from me."

"Who in their right mind would want to share a room with you?" She says and rolls her eyes.

"You used to love to share a room with me," I give her a cocky grin as she rolls her eyes again.

Just like she did all the time in high school.

"What about all my stuff back home?" She asks me suddenly. "And what about Calvin?"

"I'll have someone get it all for you. As for Calvin, he knows who you belong with," I state confidently.

I'm so masking how scared I am to have Taylor to myself again. All of this fake confidence is for show, to mask how excited and equally terrified I am to have Taylor as my wife. Eighteen year old me would be absolutely over the moon ecstatic.

"I can't believe I'm being forced into marriage with my high school girlfriend who's know this all powerful person with an ego twice the size of the universe," Taylor says while grumpily going up the stairs.

"Taylor, you're going to get lost up there. You don't even know where the rooms are at- let alone your room," I yell at her as I follow her up the stairs.

"I'll figure it out," She yells back with venom in her tone now.

I take that as her way of telling me not to follow her so I step back and motion for Valentino to help her find the room she wants to sleep in.

I'll win you back Taylor.

Taylor

I make my way up the stairs and look up to see a huge floor full of a multitude of different rooms.  I hate to admit it but Adrian was right.

I sigh as I take off my heels and put them in my hand, wondering what I should do next.

"A bit lost, are you," A slight Italian accented voice says.

"Just a bit," I say with a small laugh.

I look over at Valentino as he offers his hand to me.

"What do you want?" I ask confused.

"Your heels, ma'am," He replies with a smile.

"Ma'am?" I say as I hand him my heels.

"Family policy. Treat the Boss and the Boss's partner as you would your parents otherwise," He mimics a head being chopped off, "Adrian is an exception though. She was my best friend before it all but I've known her long enough to know that she does not play about you."

"She's talked about me, then?' I ask with a questioning gaze.

"When has she not?" He says with a chuckle, "I know I've only heard one side and I know you were hurt by her, but you should know that she's terribly sorry for leaving you. I can't tell you how many letters I've burned that were about you."

My mouth is slightly agape at the news Valentino just told me.

"Well here we are. Second best room in the House. Adrian's room is right there," He points to a room across the hall.

"Thank you Valentino," I say with a sincere smile.

"Ahh just V," He says and hands me my heels.

"Got it, V," I smile at him and he nods his head as he descends back down the stairs.

I walk into the room and I'm immediately astonished at the size of it. I mean, I've seen my fair share of huge rooms but oh my.

This is bigger than I've ever seen!

That's what she said.

I walk over to the closet to see what I'm working with. It's the size of a room itself. It's perfect. I could cry.

Just then I hear a knock on the door.

"Yes?" I slightly raise my voice so whoever it is can hear me.

"May I come in?" Adrian's voice says from the other side of the door.

"Yes," I reply back.

The doorknob twists as I stare at the door, waiting for to see her face. Then it fully opens and I see Adrian in boxers and a sports bra.

I feel heat rising to my cheeks as I instantly look away.

"I just wanted to see how you like the room," She asks while playing with the curls on the side of her head.

She's nervous.

"It could be better," I say lying through my teeth.

"Well, I'm sorry it's not what you wanted," She says with a disappointed sigh.

"Hey, I was kidding. It's great," I say as I notice how she got disappointed.

I really suck at keeping this "I hate your guts" front up.

She immediately smiles and silence overtakes the moment as we look into each others eyes. I feel my cheeks heat up again as I look down and notice the bulge in her boxers.

Our faces begin inching closer to each other before I realize what I'm doing.

"I'm going to uhh get ready to go to bed," I say as I pull away nervously.

"Oh yeah yeah," She responds and quickly pulls back.

She begins to walk out then turns around to face me again.

"We're going wedding dress shopping tomorrow and your stuff should be here by the time you wake up," She says with a soft smile.

"Okay. Thank you," I respond, reciprocating the smile she gave me.

"Goodnight Scott," She says as she looks at me.

"Goodnight Gomez," I respond back.

I watch as she leaves my room and closes the door behind her.

God. Why does she have to be so hot when I want to hate her?
