Adrian

I softly knock on Taylor's bedroom door, "Hey Taylor. It's time to get up, we gotta go look for a dress and me a tux."

I wait for any sort of response or movement to indicate that she's awake before I slowly turn the doorknob and walk into her room.

She's sleeping peacefully on her side, facing the door. A strand of her beautiful blonde hair, fallen ever so slightly over her eye and laying softly on her nose. She looks so at ease and peaceful. I wish I could stare at her forever.

But of course, I have to wake her up.

"Taylor. Come on," I whisper as I tap her shoulder.

She groggily sits up and looks at me before wiping her eyes with a yawn.

"Rise and shine, Scott," I say to her jokingly.

"Morning, Gomez," She responds and begins to get out of bed.

"We're going to be leaving soon, so get dressed and breakfast is downstairs whenever you're ready," I say, as softly as I can because I know she's not a morning person.

"Alright, I'll be down in a sec," She says and stifles a yawn.

I nod my head in reply and make my way out of her room and downstairs, where my steaming cup of coffee awaits me.

Coffee is my best friend now. It's what gets me through the day and through all these idiots I have to deal with.

"Is she up?" V asks me as cuts his pancake.

"Indeed she is," I reply as I take a sip of my amazing and lifesaving coffee.

"She's not a morning person, huh?" he says with a chuckle.

"Nah. Never has been," I say, reciprocating the chuckle right back.

We spend the next few minutes in a comfortable silence as Valentino eats and I drink my coffee until we hear footsteps descending down the stairs.

I immediately lift my head and my eyes meet her ice blues.

"You can have whatever you'd like and we'll leave whenever you're ready," I say trying to make her as comfortable as possible. Normally, we'd leave when I'd say.

But whatever.

"Okay," She says dryly.

"How did you sleep last night?" I ask her genuinely wondering.

"Fine," She says in the same dry and monotone voice as before.

See, ever since I've joined the Falcone's my temper is shorter. I don't like it when people have attitudes towards me. Especially unnecessary attitudes.

I gulp down the rest of my coffee and slam it down on the table, "Scott, lose the attitude. We were just fine last night."

I don't hide the anger in my voice and all softness that is used only towards her is gone in that moment. For a moment, I'm back to how I've been the past 7 years before I say Taylor again. Cold-hearted, emotionless, and ruthless me.

Taylor looks up at me and rolls her eyes with a huff.

I scoff at the audacity of this woman.

"V go get the car ready," I say as I stare at Taylor.

He nods at me and walks off.

I get up out of the seat I was sitting in and walk towards Taylor with her eyes fixed on me.
