4:15 P.M.

I lay in my bed and stare at the ceiling, wondering where Adrian is. It seems like as soon as I get her back, she's gone again. I can't just ever have her to myself.

I place my hands on my lips and trace where I last felt her lips. They're so soft.

I feel a tear fall down my cheek and force myself to get up. There's this invisible weight just holding me down. And I can not get rid of it.

I stare out the window and look into what seems like a bleak world. 

Please get through this, Adrian.

My thoughts screech to a halt when I hear my door open. I look up to see V standing there, looking at me.

"I knocked but I did not get an answer," He says quietly.

He looks up at me with very tired and weary eyes.

"It's okay. I'm sorry, I was just looking out the window," I respond back.

"I just wanted to let you know that we're about to leave. If anything happens and I do not make it back and if Adrian doesn't make-" He says still in a quiet tone but I put my hand up to cut him off.

"No. You guys are going to make it. And everything will be okay," I say to him with a facade of hopefulness.

I know they can make it. But I can't help but be worried.

He nods his head and slowly turns around. I watch as he leaves my room and closes the door softly. Everything is going to be okay.

Adrian

My eyes jolt open and my hands instinctively move to my side, where I feel this overwhelming amount of pain. I look around and see Ezra, Cassius, and Calvin. All standing around me.

"You're awake," Ezra says in his gruff voice.

"Aww did you miss me?" I say with a chuckle.

I'm putting up a front. My body is so exhausted. They don't let me rest properly, obviously. I'm in so much pain that I just want to give up.

"Not at all," Calvin chimes in a response, "Just wanted to wake you for some fun."

"Ooo sounds nice. What are talking?" I ask raising my eyebrow.

My question is answered when I see Ezra pulling a cloth out from behind his back then Cassius coming behind me and picking me up off the chair.

Waterboarding. They have to immobilize my hands and feet so I can't move, then they'll place the cloth on my face.

I tense up as I feel Cassius slam my body down onto wooden plank. There's a metal bar on the top and bottom. The one on the top seems like it's close to coming off. Cassius then handcuffs my hands to the bar then does the same to my ankles. 

Drowning is one of my biggest fears. They know this. It's why they're doing this.

Ezra comes close to me and places the already damp cloth on my face. Making it almost stick to my face. I can't see through the cloth then I hear water sloshing.

Before I can even think, the cold water splashes onto me. I feel my chest tighten and I let out heavy breaths.

I twitch and try to move my hands to get the cloth off of me but it's no use. I feel the water hit my face again. My head starts to spin and I hear their voices get faint.
