From the moment our driveway begins until now, as I reach the front gate of my house, I know it's not going to end well. I don't even know why I agreed to this in the first place. Maybe it's because I love Minji so much that I let her do crazy things, even to the extent of meeting my father for blessings after just a month of knowing her.
It's sometimes baffling to think I am this in love with her. I don't know what power she has over me, but I know she's perfect—dangerously perfect. She has the face and body every girl would die for. She's caring, attentive, sweet in her words—everything you could ask for in the love of your life. And if I ever had the guts to reject her, I'd be the biggest fool in the world. She still loves me, so deeply, even after I tried to kill her.
What a crazy love story I have.
The front gates open automatically, and Minji drives her beloved black Lamborghini inside, parking it on the front porch. She gets out first and opens the door for me. I know she will, so I never try to get out first—otherwise, I might get on her nerves.
I tiptoe and brush my lips against her cheek. She offers me her hand, and I gladly take it before she interlaces our fingers as we walk together towards the front door.
Just as I'm about to knock, the door creaks open. There stands my older brother, who is six feet one inch tall. It's crazy to think Minji is just one inch shorter than him. They're almost the same height! They share a glance before Soobin's focus shifts to me.
Soobin's eyes shine excitedly, and his lips curl into the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face.
"Hanni!"
He comes up to me, engulfing me in a bone-crushing hug, making my grip on Minji's hand loosen. I giggle at his aggressiveness before relaxing into his embrace and wrap my arms around his waist. His body is soft, so comfortable. Oh, how I've missed hugging him.
Slowly, we loosen our hug, and he couldn't look any cuter with that pouty face he gives me.
"I miss you so much. How dare you leave me for a month?" He makes a grumpy face again, making me burst into soft laughter.
"Shut up. You'd only tease my height if I stayed with you," I say, smacking his shoulder, making him wince in pain.
"Ouch! When did you get so strong?" He groans, and I laugh again. Then, his eyes dart towards Minji, who has been observing us quietly.
"Is this the Minji you've talked about?" he asks, looking back at me.
I give him a smile and nod slowly.
He leans into me. "She's actually so good-looking," he whispers, but I think it's loud enough for Minji to hear.
"Don't say that. It might make her more arrogant," I whisper back, and he chuckles.
