"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise."
My Dad was sitting on couch, my mom was across from him in the arm chair. Dad had been gone on a week long business trip, while he was gone my mom gave me back my phone. With my Dad being gone every other weekend I never really considered him an authority figure.
"Where the hell have you been."
I was in the entryway to the living room, my Mom sat in silence. I was expecting her to defend me, tell him I was out on a run. My Mom always voiced when she was upset, angry, or any emotion. This time it was different, she was expressionless.
"I was out for a run." I rolled my eyes and was gonna head upstairs when my Dad quickly demanded I sit.
"Me and your Mom are getting a divorce."
Even though my Dad never was present I felt as if my whole world collapsed. He was our main income, he's the reason we have a roof over heads. My first reaction was to get up and beg them not to but, instead I sat their in silence.
"Since i'm gone for work so often we thought it would just be better."
"Your Dads moving back to Connecticut."
My Dad is really moving back to the place he wanted to leave so bad, on top of them getting divorced this means I have to go back to my hometown. I couldn't do this, it was all too much. So like with all my problems, I ran. I ran out the door back to Oliver's house. My mind was racing with thoughts that my feet just took me wherever. When I looked up here I was, at Oliver's. I heard a sound come from behind me, "Didn't I tell you to get your ass out of here."
Mrs.Otto, just the person I wanna see,
"Oh, yeah, um hi again"
"You're not seeing Oliver."
"Mrs.Otto I just really need to talk to him."
"Then come back in a month, what's so important anyways."
"My parents are getting divorced."
Hearing the words come out of my mouth made it even more real, my parents are never getting back together, soon i'll have to chose between here and my hometown.
"Y/n?" I turned around, it was Oliver?
