-June 26 2 PM; 9 Months Since Kidnapping; Mama Bibi's POV-Nine months...My daughter has been missing for nine months. Everyday I wake up I'm reminded by what was taken from my family. We have all felt the strain. Headed to TexasTV newsroom for interviews, I couldn't help by blast my gospel music. It was nothing but faith keeping my sanity together.
I can't think about if she's cold, or hungry, what if she's been dead this entire time and whoever is responsible will look at us and laugh at our pain.

It is the sweetest name, I know"I can't take too much of this kind of music. Just turn the fucking radio off!" Mariam slapped the volume dial.
"Watch your mouth Mariam, Jesus Christ." Mr. Whintore called out from the driver's seat.
"For your information, when I was pregnant with you two, I listened to gospel music day in and day out. God is responsible for everything we have now. He is in total control here, don't forget that!" Bibi said.
Just then Bibi heard a chuckle. "And what's so comical about that sir?"
"I mean if he's responsible for what we do have I guess he's responsible for everything we don't have to? Some control he has..." Mitchell said.
"The love of my life could be anywhere from next door to Timbuktu and we're listing to gospel music. I don't see God in any of this. Not being there for her is driving me insane."
"We're going to find her son, you have believe that." Mr. Whintore did his best to reassure him.
"Well dad, that's easy to say when your wife is here. Safe! Aleigha could be experiencing anything right now with no one to protect her. It's been nine months, I'm not stupid. The chances of her ever coming home are slim. Welcome to the life of being Black in America."
"Why would you say that!? God, you haven't had a single positive thing to say lately! Daddy is right here with us, we've been right beside you there entire time Mitch...Fuck!" Mariam complained.
Mitchell scoffed, " Where the hell is the positivity in my wife being missing you fucking moron? What else am I supposed to say?"
Their parents had enough, "That's enough!" they said simultaneously.
Bibi held onto Mitchell's hand, "That is not how we talk to one another. I can hear the smack upside the head Lelo would've given you. I would also like to point out that you've dropped enough of those f bombs for today!"
Mitchell was exhausted. He was now on medication to help him sleep, he was on indefinite leave from his job and back home living with his parents. He sold the house to pay for a private investigator that ended up not knowing any more than the detectives assigned to his wife's missing person's case.
While stressed, emotionally tormented, and out of hope, he was very much alive. Mitchell was going to find his wife. When he promised forever he meant it.
For better, for worse, he meant it.
When Mitchell said he loved Aleigha - He meant it.
