Aakriti's POV

As I stood on Platform 1, I watched a young boy, almost 10 years old, playing with a balloon. A sudden gust of wind swept it away, leaving him distraught. His father comforted him, promising a bigger balloon, and they walked away hand in hand.

I remembered when I was 10, I was busy memorizing tables and tenses, always an introvert, pouring my heart into studies. My hard work paid off with top grades in every exam. Yet, a void lingered within me.

The past two years were a blur of preparation for the medical entrance exam. Now that I'd cleared it and secured a seat in Medical College, I felt a mix of relief and uncertainty. The college is in next city.

This was my first time traveling alone, and the thought of starting college in a new city made me nervous. The train journey from my city to next city took an hour. I decided to travel daily, returning home each evening.

My parents, both doctors with hectic schedules, were supposed to drop me off but had to attend a surgery. They accompanied earlier me during addmission process and on the day of white coat ceremony.

The announcement of my train broke my reverie. "Train no. 12192 from Jabalpur to New Delhi Shridham Superfast Express is about to depart from Platform 1."

I rushed towards the train as the crowd surged around me. My feet slipped on the steps, but a hand grasped mine, steadying me. It was a boy's hand, wearing a Titan watch. Before I could glance at my rescuer, the hand vanished, leaving me wondering if it was just my imagination.

Breathing heavily, I found my seat and collapsed into it, avoiding eye contact with the other passengers. As the train moved, I gazed out the window, watching the station boards pass by - Platform 1, the stalls, the trees, and the crop fields. Everything looked beautiful.

Suddenly, the train entered a tunnel, and I felt a jolt of fear. My hand instinctively reached out, grasping the hand of the person beside me.

The train emerged from the tunnel, and I slowly opened my eyes. I felt a slight wince as my eyes met the owner of the hand - a boy with a Titan watch on his wrist.

Yash's POV

She was the same girl who almost fall at the door. As I watched her falling, my instincts kicked in, and I grasped her hand, steadying her. She quickly pulled her hand away, and I felt a slight pang of disappointment.

But fate seemed to be on my side as we ended up sitting next to each other in the train. I couldn't help but sneak glances at her, taking in her features- Her dark eyes sparkled like polished gemstones, and her raven hair cascaded down her back. Her pink lips curved into a subtle smile, and I was lost in their warmth.

When she held my hand again, I felt a jolt of electricity run through me. Her grip was tight, her nails digging into my skin, causing a small cut.

"I saved your life at the door, and you're trying to kill me with your nails," I teased, showing her the small cut on my wrist. Her face flushed, but she remained silent, taking out a bandage from her bag and gently wrapping it around my wrist. Her eyes never met mine, but I felt a strange flutter in my chest.

"Hey, I'm Yash Joshi, by the way."

I paused, waiting for her response, but she remained silent, her eyes fixed on the bandage she was wrapping around my wrist. I continued, undeterred, my cheerful nature taking over.

"First year engineering student. Just started a few days ago. And you? Medical college, I presume?" I said, As she was wearing a white coat.

This time, she looked up, her eyes meeting mine. "Aakriti Sharma", she said softly, her voice barely audible. "Medical college, yes."

As the train pulled into station, she quickly gathered her belongings, her eyes finally meeting mine again. I smiled, feeling a connection. "See you around, maybe?" I asked, my eyes shining with hope. She nodded, a small smile playing on her lips, and disappeared into the crowd.

I watched her go, feeling a pang of disappointment. A soft smile played on my lips as I gazed at the bandage on my wrist, my eyes shining with newfound hope.

But I knew I had to move on - I had classes to attend! I grabbed my backpack and made my way out of the station, merging with the bustling crowd. The sun was shining bright, casting a warm glow over the city. I took a deep breath, feeling the excitement of a new day, and maybe, just maybe, a new friend.

I walked briskly, my feet carrying me towards my college, my mind replaying the brief encounter with Aakriti. I couldn't help but wonder if our paths would cross again.

Aakriti's POV

My heart raced as I entered the medical college campus, my white coat fluttering behind me. I had dreamed of this moment for years, and it was finally here. The sprawling grounds, lined with trees and large buildings, seemed to whisper promises of a bright future. I felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing I was one step closer to my dream of becoming a doctor.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. As I walked into the lecture hall, I was struck by the sheer size of the room and the number of students bustling about.

Finding a seat in the third row, I noticed a girl with a friendly smile and bright eyes beside me.

"Hi, I'm Saanvi Shah," the girl said, extending her hand.

I shook it, feeling a sense of camaraderie. "Aakriti Sharma."

The professor's arrival interrupted our conversation. The professor began to speak, and I was swept away by the tide of new information. I scribbled notes furiously, my mind racing to keep up.

The hours flew by, and before I knew it, the first day of college had come to an end. Saanvi bid farewell, saying, "It was nice meeting you, Aakriti. See you tomorrow!"

I smiled, feeling grateful for the new friendship. "You too, Saanvi. Have a great day!"

As the day went on, I felt a sense of belonging I hadn't expected. I was actually doing it - I was a medical student!
