The start of forever isn’t marked by grand gestures but by the small, perfect moments that make it feel like a dream come true 🌆✨

Yash's POV

Ladies and gentlemen, the impossible has happened today! After 18 long years of navigating the barren wasteland of singlehood, I’ve finally—finally—escaped. And not only that, I’ve found myself with the most amazing girl in existence! It feels so surreal, like a dream I never want to wake up from. How did I get this lucky? Me, of all people, with her… It’s like I’ve won the lottery of life.

The entire train ride was quiet; we barely exchanged more than a few words. I couldn’t help but notice how her cheeks flushed a deep shade of red. When we arrived, she took her bag from my hand, murmured a quick goodbye, and hurried away. It was a whole new feeling, one that was incredibly beautiful.

I’m grinning like an idiot, completely lost in my thoughts, when I realize I’ve somehow arrived at college without even noticing. But who cares? Today, nothing can wipe this smile off my face.

As I entered the lecture hall, I spotted Rohan lost in his own world. Why is everyone so out of it today? I waved at him, but he didn’t even bother to glance in my direction.

"Hey, bro," I said, dropping my bag on the desk and sliding into the seat beside him.

"Abey, hat ja samne se teri bhabhi khadi hai... ," he said without looking at me.

(Hey, don't block the view, your sister-in-law is standing there)

I turned around, confused. "Where’s Riya?"

"Not Riya, it's Jiya now!" he replied, grinning like an idiot.

"Your crush changed?" I raised an eyebrow.

"His crushes change with 5G speed," Jay chimed in, walking over to Suchitra for a high-five, only to be coldly ignored.

"If you guys are done with your nonsense talk, can we focus on our project?" Suchitra said, her eyes glued to her laptop screen.

"Suchi yaar, kya pure time padhai, padhai, padhai," Rohan groaned.

(Come on suchi, all the time study, study, study)

But he knew better than to argue. She was right. Deadlines were looming, and we had to get this app done. We’d been working on it for weeks now. It was a great idea in theory, but bringing it to life was turning out to be a nightmare.

"Alright, let’s get started," I said, pulling out my laptop.

"Yash, did you finish the UI mockups?" Suchitra asked me.

"Yeah, here," I said, opening the files to show them. "I’m still tweaking the color scheme, but the layout’s done."

Rohan let out a frustrated sigh from across the table. "I’m stuck on this login authentication code. It keeps throwing errors, and I’ve tried everything."

"Want me to take a look?" Jay offered, sliding his chair over to Rohan's side.

"That’d be great, thanks." Rohan said.

We worked in near silence after that, the only sounds being the tapping of keys and the occasional frustrated sigh. It was one of those days where everything felt like an uphill battle, but we couldn’t afford to lose momentum.

"Hey, Yash," a girl said, appearing out of nowhere.

"Can I get your number?" she asked.

I cleared my throat twice. "Sorry, I have a girlfriend," I said, my voice louder than necessary. My friends exchanged amused glances.
