"For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops."
Luke 12: 2-3

HE DROVE TO HIS FATHER'S HOUSE and parked in the large driveway, next to Joshua's car. As soon as he knocked on the door, a servant opened the door. She nodded to him, and he walked past her.

It was just barely 6, but he ran into his father.

"Gabriel, you look unwell." His father said.

"Sorry I came early. I needed to get my uniform." He spoke. He couldn't look his father in the eye and kept his head down.

"Well, go and eat breakfast. I heard that crime has been increasing ever since the Jubilee happened." His father said.

Gabriel walked up the stairs and entered the bathroom. He showered and cleaned himself entirely. He scrubbed his skin, hoping the dirt he felt on himself would be washed off. But there wasn't any dirt, all he saw was his skin turning red and on the verge of bleeding.

He finished his shower when Joshua complained on the other side of his door that Gabriel was going to use up all the hot water. He dried himself off and changed into his uniform. His uniform was a simple military outfit. But because he was ranked Arch, one of the highest orders, his suit was black.

On his right arm, he wore an armband with the United States of America seal. The seal was simple: An eagle with its wings spread. One claw held arrows, the other a cross.

Gabriel also tied his shoes and put his phone, keys, and communicator in his pocket. When he checked the time, Gabriel saw that he had spent too much time in the shower and wasn't going to be able to eat breakfast.

Though, this was fine for him, since he couldn't exactly look at his father, let alone sitting next to him. He raced out of the house and started the car.

His phone began to ring. It was from his uncle, Gad Newman-Barrington. "Gabriel, are you on your way?" He asked.

"Yes. Sorry for my tardiness. I was with Martha last night." Gabriel replied.

"I get it. Wives are needy creatures. I sent over your schedule. Just pick up your things at the drop off and you can go. I'll tell the commander and clear up your attendance." Gad said. He hung up.

Gabriel drove his car and reached the base. He drove through the street until he saw the drop off where some soldiers loaded his trunk with his materials.

Checking his schedule, he saw he had a few tasks on the agenda to complete. Luckily, nothing seemed too difficult. He decided to do the nearest one. So, he drove through the streets of Washington DC until he reached his destination.

GABRIEL PARKED HIS CAR right outside the large high school, Saint Paul's High School. The fairly modern school had three buildings, one main one and two for elective courses. He walked into the main building with one of the bags he got from the drop off in hand.

"I'm here for the lectures," Gabriel said to the woman at the front desk.

"Right." The receptionist replied. She did a bow before calling a security guard who escorted him through the halls of the school.

Today's first task was to give a few lectures to some classes. These classes were specifically chosen since they had the lowest test scores. The government knows that they won't be of use, so it's better to persuade them to join the military.

"Here you are, sir." The security guard said. Gabriel thanked him and checked the list of classes. Before he knocked on the door, he listened to what the teacher was saying.
