Thranduil was finally feeling whole after years of torture from his soulmate bond. When his wife and mother of legolas went to the Undying Lands, his fäe got damaged. It was like a hole being drilled in his heart. That was why he was always so strict with legolas. He did not want to lose him, too. But now that hole was being filled little by little.

"Seldë nin." he wishpered lovingly.

Legolas was surprised to hear his Adar speak in such a soft voice. It was his first time hearing his Adar speak with this tone since his mother died. His Adar was always a stern elf. When he heard his Adar speak like that, he knew something important happened, and his soul sister would always have a place to stay.

"Adar..." exclaimed Lúthien and before she knew it, she had burst into tears. She was so overwhelmed by joy that she had found a new family. Her emotions were all over the place since she had been bottling everything inside.

Thranduil and Legolas never being in the presence of a crying elleth panicked. They didn't know what to do. Thranduil never had to comfort an elleth before, not even his queen, and felt quite uncomfortable at that moment. Legolas, on the other hand, knew that as an elleth, she would show her feelings more easily, not bury them deep inside herself like he does. So, he knew that what she needed at the moment was what he once needed but was not able to get from his Adar. Lúthien was in need of comfort from a parental figure. She needed to feel safe and loved but also protected.

"Adar, go hug her. It is what she needs right now." Legolas wishpered to his father.

Thranduil, although reluctantly he took her in his arms in a really akward hug for him. But, for Lúthien that hug meant the world to her. She took comfort from that, but in spite of that, there was a little voice that was telling her she was a burden. Thinking that this was true, she started furiously apologizing and crying more. At that moment, Thranduil understood that his seldë needed to be protected from the outside world. And protect her, he would.

After they all had calmed down, dinner started. Lúthien was excited since she had not eaten elven food in quite some time. You see, elves are vegetarian, not from choice but because they physically can't eat meat. When they eat meat, their body rejects it, and they throw it back up. So, as you can believe, it was really difficult for Lúthien to eat outside of the elven realm. Their dinner included different kinds of salads and bread, especially made in the elven realm.

"Adar... it is delicious." Lúthien exclaimed.

"Then I will be sure to congratulate the cooks, seldë nin." Thranduil said while gazing lovingly at her.

Lúthien smiled happily to herself while Legolas and Thranduil were thinking that they had to hide her away. They were sure that someone would take her away after seeing how cute she is. Little did they know, then that true to their words, a handsome ellon would come and sweep her off her feet.

"Now, as I see that you are done with your food, I would like you to go get some rest. So tomorrow I could introduce you properly to the rest of the kingdom, my dear." Thranduil told her.

"Muinthel nin, do you remember the way back to your room, or do you want me to call a guard to take you back? I would take you myself, but I have to brief Adar with the result of the mission he sent me to." Legolas told her before she could ask him to come with her.

"I remember the way just fine, hannar nin." In truth Lúthien did not remember the way at all, but as it was her first time in Greenwood, she wanted to go explore. Alas, it would have been nice if Legolas could come with, but what could she do? He had work.

"Then I bid you goodnight, Adar, hannar." She wishpered as she went out of the hall.

"We need to talk," said Legolas when he was sure she was out of earshot.

"What is it?" Thranduil asked him. He was sure it had to do with Lúthien as Legolas already had told him the results of the mission.

"You should know Adar that muinthel nin did not have a happy childhood. I learned that her family threw her out because her mother died instead of her. So we have to make sure she is well protected. Also, don't make a big deal out of her nightmares and her family situation, when she wants to tell you she will. Please, Adar nin, " Legolas begged his father.

Thranduil was flabbergasted. Who would do such a thing  to an elfling. Every elf knew that children should be celebrated as elves don't conceive so easily.

"Rest assured, Legolas. I would do anything in my power for her to live peacefully and well protected." he reassured his son.

"If you can find anything more about her family, it would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to know which elf dared to do that to seldë nin. " he told Legolas.
