[PROFESSOR SERIES II]
Astrea Zaire Luceria thought she was incapable of loving someone. But the moment she laid her eyes on a certain Art Professor, she found herself falling for her even from a far distance. Not having any courage to approach her...
"Relax." Vida says as she fixed my dress, "Para kang naghihintay ng bride mo."
I glared at her with what she said.
"If only you didn't brought me here, I wouldn't feel so stupid for showing up on your sister's birthday uninvited when she clearly doesn't want me here."
"You're kind of dumb actually," She chuckled. "You know it's Vien's birthday.. why would I be absent on my sister's celebration?"
Napatahimik naman ako dahil sa sinabi niya. Oo nga naman.. why didn't I thought of that at all? If I did, edi sana hindi na lang ako sumama. What Vida said yesterday did made some sense, pero alam ko sa sarili ko that both me and her sister are not ready yet to see each other again.
..Lalong lalo na siya.
"There, done." She took a step back and smiled, "Don't hide that beauty under that frown of yours."
"Vida.. I can't do this. May oras pa para umuwi ako. I can't show up, hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko makita siya with disappointment in her eyes."
"And why would she look at you in that way?" She raised a brow at me.
"Did you missed the whole point of our conversation yesterday? The part where she needed time and space and it's only been a month. She'd think that I couldn't get that into my head dahil pumunta pa talaga ako dito."
She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, "Okay, fine, but look at it this way," She said, her tone softening. "You're not here to chase her or pressure her into anything. You're just..here as my date, okay na ba? I won't push you to talk to her you know."
I bit my lip, still unconvinced. "Then what if she takes one look at me and realizes all over again that she made the right choice? What if she resents me even more for showing up?"
Vida shook her head with a small smile. "Astrea, if there's one thing I know about my sister, it's that she doesn't hate you. If anything, she's probably just as conflicted as you are. Besides.." She gave me a playful nudge. "Don't you think she deserves to see you looking like this?"

I gave a reluctant smile, glancing down at the dress she'd picked out for me. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"And you're here, so I must be doing something right." She winked, then checked her watch. "Come on, it's almost time. Just take a deep breath, and let's go in together. If nothing else, you've got me."
"I don't know.." I shifted uncomfortably, looking down at the dress she forced me into, feeling every bit out of place. "I'm not even sure I should be here, Vida. Alam ko ang sinabi niya sa text, she needs space."
