His Pov~

744 hours, 45 minutes, and 30 seconds. That's how long it's been since I've seen her. A month—31 days. It feels like a lifetime, and it's tearing me apart.

We had some hope when we tracked her credit card. For a moment, it felt like we were close. But by the time we reached the location, she was gone. I know she must have sensed something and vanished again, hiding somewhere nearby.

"Karan, for God's sake, go to the salon!" Ankit's voice broke through my thoughts, nagging me about my disheveled appearance for the hundredth time.

He's not wrong. My hair is a mess, and my beard is unkempt. I've let myself go since she disappeared. The absence of Mrs. Luthra has turned me into a shadow of the man I used to be. Yes, she's still my wife.

I burned the divorce papers.

"Karan, you're falling apart without her," Priyanka said, concern lacing her voice. "Have you thought about what you'll say when you find her?"

"I don't care," I snapped. "When she comes back, I'm not letting her speak. I'll talk, and she'll have to listen."

"Oh, Karan," Priyanka sighed. "The team is doing their best. You can't blame them for her running away."

"I know," I muttered. "I even went to Bangalore, turned the city upside down with hackers and undercover agents, and still, nothing. She's not there."

Priyanka hesitated, then spoke softly, "No, she's there. I'm sorry, Karan, but I've been keeping something from you. I have a gut feeling she's in danger."

Her words hit me like a punch to the gut. "Don't say that," I whispered. "My gut, my heart, my sixth sense—they all tell me the same thing. I didn't want to scare anyone, but I'm terrified."

"Both of you, shut up!" Ankit's frustration was palpable. "We all want her back safe and sound."

"I just want her to be okay," I said, my voice breaking. "I can't bear the thought of anything happening to her."

"Karan, calm down," Priyanka urged. "She'll be okay. We'll find her."

But her words did little to soothe the storm of emotions raging inside me. Every second without her felt like an eternity, and the fear of the unknown was suffocating.

Author's Pov~

It was a dark, scary night near a desolate highway. The long, empty road was eerie—the kind of silence that chills your bones. People were rarely seen in this area, but on that fateful night, someone needed someone.

After a day of emptiness, finally, there was a lone figure on the highway, walking, not speeding by in a car. He clutched his phone, not listening to music, but perhaps lost in his own thoughts.

"Any...one!" A terrible, strained voice echoed from the dried leaves scattered on the ground.

The sound of rustling leaves grew louder, and the man stopped, his eyes scanning the direction of the noise. He saw the leaves shifting, tapping against the ground as if something—or someone—was moving underneath them. Curiosity and concern drew him closer.
