As soon as I got outside the door, I was pushed against the lockers. Before I had time to react, lips were pressing against mine, practically sucking my face. I could tell it was Lucas. After almost a year of being together, I knew what he tasted like. I kissed back for a moment and then realized what I was doing. I pushed him away and kept walking.
He ran up beside me.
I ignored his presence.
"Scarlet tell me what I can do to make it up to you."
"Nothing. You can't do anything. You're a no good piece of shit and I want you to leave me alone."
Nothing I was saying was true and I really wanted Lucas around but I know right from
wrong.
I stopped in front of my locker.
"Go away Lucas."
"You can't push me out of your life for one mistake. Let me take you out tonight, we'll have a new date night and I promise it won't be as bad"

"If I were you I'd lay off. I don't think she wants to go out with you. Whatever you did must've been preeeetttyyyy bad"
I turned my head to the left. There was a guy standing at the locker next to mine, looking right at Lucas.
He had green eyes and dark brown hair which was a huge contrast to Lucas' blue eyes and light brown, almost blonde hair.
It was wierd, this new kid had the typical bad boy look but was sticking up for me against Lucas, who in my opinion looks like an angel.

"I'm sorry, who are you?"
Lucas looked like he wanted to punch the kid.
"Sam. I just transferred here." He reached out to shake Lucas' hand, but Lucas just rolled his eyes and directed his attention back on me.
"I'll pick you up at 8." Lucas winked at me before walking away.

I rolled my eyes in disgust and turned to Sam.
"Sorry about that, he's got an attitude problem, sorry if he made you feel unwelcome."
Sam laughed. "Your boyfriend?"

I started to say no but thought about it, I hadn't officially broken up with Lucas yet. And I didn't think I could bring myself to do it.

I ignored his question and put out my hand to shake his.
"I'm scarlet"

"Well it's Nice to meet you Scarlet."

He pulled out a map of the school.
"Can you tell me where the art room is?"

"Yeah that's actually my next class, you can walk with me there."
I didn't want to seem overly excited so I corrected myself.

"I mean, if you want."

He grinned.
"Of course"
