"𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 two academic school years, you've been trained to withstand anything. You've all faced challenges no first, second, or third-year should have to endure. Despite that, you've shown incredible capability." 3A's homeroom teacher, Sekijiro Kan—also known as Vlad King—emphasized. Aizawa hasn't been their homeroom teacher since their time in 1A, as it changes annually.
"Today, your main focus is to push the limits of your quirks, extending their capabilities beyond what you thought possible. You'll also explore any hidden abilities your quirks might possess and work on mastering newly unlocked powers." The white-haired man nodded towards Midoriya, setting the tone for the day's training session.
The class stood assembled at the training grounds, each student in their hero costume, attentively listening to their teacher's instructions. The morning sun cast long shadows through gym gammas' windows, promising a day of intense practice and discovery.
"Work in groups, pairs, or alone—I don't give a damn. Just do well to achieve results," Vlad stated with his usual gruffness, prompting everyone to disperse and begin their training. Some formed pairs or groups, while others chose solitary practice, each intent on honing their skills to meet the challenges ahead.
(Y/n), always finding comfort in Mina's presence, nodded, and headed straight for her best friend. Together, they began their training, their synergy evident as they seamlessly synchronized their movements and abilities.
(Y/n) and Mina began their training, working together to enhance their quirks. Mina, with her Acid Quirk, could produce and control corrosive substances. They decided to combine their abilities to develop new techniques and improve their control.
Mina, with her Acid Quirk, demonstrated remarkable control over the corrosive substance she could produce. She manipulated it to be stronger or weaker and changed how thick or runny it was, creating controlled acid pools and streams that shimmered under the morning light. Her focus was unwavering, a testament to her dedication to mastering her unique ability.
Meanwhile, (Y/n) relied on her enhanced speed, moving with agility and grace as her fangs popped out. She darted around Mina's acid attacks, using her keen reflexes to evade and counter with strategic strikes. Their collaboration was fluid and intuitive, each adapting to the other's movements instinctively.
"(Y/n)! You should try your blood thing!" Mina suggested eagerly, her eyes lighting up with excitement as she nudged her friend.
The mention of her Blood Manipulation ability stirred conflicting emotions in (Y/n). It was a power she had discovered during a desperate encounter with a villain, a power that had both intrigued and frightened her ever since. The ability to manipulate the flow of blood within another person's body is powerful but dangerous, its potential consequences weighing heavily on her mind.
While it had the potential to be incredibly useful, it was also unpredictable and difficult to control. Despite her best efforts, she often found it hard to control, which made her hesitant to use it in practice sessions.
"I don't know," (Y/n) replied hesitantly, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "I don't want to risk something happening, Mina. I don't want to hurt you."
Mina placed a reassuring hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder, her expression earnest yet supportive. "You won't learn to control it unless you practice, (Y/n). Besides, I trust you. We can start slow, take small steps."
(Y/n) hesitated for a moment, weighing her fear against the trust Mina placed in her. Finally, she nodded with reluctant determination. "Alright, let's give it a try."
"Okay, Mina. I'm gonna start now," (Y/n) announced closed her eyes, and began to concentrate on controlling the movement of Mina's blood.
"It's working! I can't move," Mina exclaimed, her voice tinged with excitement and curiosity as she stood frozen in place.
(Y/n) opened her eyes to see Mina's arm gently swaying under her control. She concentrated, manipulating the blood flow with delicate precision, exploring the extent of her newfound ability. Mina laughed in amazement, marveling at the sensation of her own arm moving as if guided by an invisible force.
However, the laughter abruptly turned into gasps, and then choking sounds. Mina's eyes widened in panic as she struggled for breath, her movements growing increasingly erratic. (Y/n) seemed to lose control, as Mina's body floated responding involuntarily to the unintended manipulation of her blood flow.
"I can't stop it...!" (Y/n) cried out in desperation, her voice echoing across the training grounds. The sudden commotion drew the attention of their classmates, who looked on in concern and confusion.
Kirishima, alarmed, rushed to his girlfriend's side—Mina, his expression fraught with fear.
"(Y/n), stop your quirk!" he exclaimed, his voice tinged with urgency and worry.
Desperate to regain control, (Y/n) frantically attempted to release her hold on Mina's blood flow. Tears welled up in her eyes, a mixture of fear and guilt overwhelming her senses; however, she refused to let them fall. Despite her efforts, Mina continued to gasp and choke, her distress palpable to everyone present.
Then, just as suddenly as it began, Mina collapsed to the ground. The choking ceased, leaving (Y/n) feeling the residual echoes of blood movement gradually fade away.
"You should be more careful next time, (L/n)," came the familiar voice of Shouta Aizawa, their former 1A homeroom teacher. He stood nearby, his gaze assessing yet neutral as he observed the aftermath of the incident.
(Y/n)'s heart raced as she rushed to Mina's side, her hands trembling as she checked on her friend. Mina lay still, her breathing ragged but gradually steadying as the effects of the unintentional manipulation wore off.
"It's okay, (Y/n). I knew there was a risk, but I wanted you to explore your ability," Mina reassured, showing (Y/n) that she was okay.
"It's all my fault. I lost control," (Y/n) whispered, her voice choked with guilt and remorse as she struggled to comprehend what had happened.
"(Y/n), it's not your fault. These things happen," Mina whispered back, her voice gentle yet firm in its reassurance. She reached out, squeezing (Y/n)'s hand in a gesture of solidarity and understanding.
Feeling overwhelmed by emotions and self-doubt, (Y/n) withdrew from the training grounds, unaware of a pair of intense vermillion eyes fixed upon her retreating figure.
The weight of responsibility hung heavy on her shoulders, a stark reminder of the risks that came with her extraordinary abilities. She retreated to her dorm room, no longer wanting to participate further.
