Too Dump To See

"Jungkook, please, stop" Taehyung still tried to stop him but Jungkook kept shifting away from him and all the more getting closer to their parents.

"I'm sorry dad. I'm sorry mom but please, for the sake of my health, punish us in anyway you deem fit but please don't separate us..." Jungkook said but then he suddenly felt dizzy and his legs wobbled, Taehyung was behind him in a flash, supporting him with his body.

Jieun sprung to her feet too and Hojun stretched out his hand at the same time but he was already resting on Taehyung, he softly caressed his face and wiped some strands of his hair from his face, his face showed genuine concern as he dabbed away the sweats on his forehead with his hand.

Watching them act like that, Jieun and Hojun's heart melted and for the first time, they saw what they have never seen there before, love, it has always been there, in their interactions but they have been too dump to see it because they believed that what ever they feel for each other is acceptable because they are siblings, they never knew it was something much more and now, it was right before their eyes. There was nothing different in the way Taehyung was treating him but only that now, they could see the love in his eyes, something they had turned a blind eye on before.

Jungkook recovered from his dizziness and smiled softly to Taehyung to reassure him and he let out a deep sigh of relief to see that he was okay and for the main time, they both forgot that their parents were there. Jieun looked at Hojun and their eyes met, his eyes revealed helplessness while she smiled softly before walking to sit on the arm of the sofa he was sitting on, her hand placed on his shoulder and she gently massage it while still looking at their children.

Jungkook and Taehyung suddenly remembering where they were and the situation of things, they both looked up but only to see their parents gazing at them, their initial anger was lost and replaced with the love they are so familiar with.

"I guess you can't cheat nature eh Hojun?" Jieun asked softly.

Hojun chuckled lightly "I guess you can't."

"Indeed we swore to not tell anybody unless the need arises, do you think the need has arise?"

Hojun looked thoughtful and signed "I can't see anyone better."

Jieun smiled at their children's confused faces "we never wanted to tell anyone, we told ourself that it will be our biggest secret but" she smiled "nature always take it's course and you can't change it even if you want to."

Taehyung slowly helped Jungkook up as they both tried to decipher their parents words but was not so lucky in doing so. Jieun looked at Hojun "will you tell them or should I?"

"You are good with telling such stories."

Jieun chuckled softly and then looked at Taehyung and Jungkook "to the world, your love is an abomination and forbidden but to biology? It is very much right and accepted" she saw their confusion and continued in a more gentler tone "Taehyung, as much as we regret it but Hojun and I are not your biological parents."

Taehyung froze at that, his mind typically shut down and he couldn't comprehend her words "what?"

"What I'm saying is that, you are adopted."

Now not only Taehyung but Jungkook also froze, he looked from Taehyung to their mother and then their father and back to Taehyung again. In the blink of an eye, his shock started to fade away, and in it's stead was an overwhelming happiness, Taehyung is not his brother, not by blood. They are practically two different beings, his happiness knew now bound and it was growing on his face as a blissful smile spread on his lips, but that is to him.
