One sunny afternoon, as they relaxed under the shade of a sturdy oak tree in the park, Pau turned to Y/N with a mischievous glint in his eye.
"You know what would be fun, mi amor?
Let's learn Spanish together!"
Y/N chuckled softly, adjusting her sunglasses.
"But Pau, you know I struggle with languages."
"Don't worry," Pau reassured her, pulling out a small notebook and colorful markers from his backpack.
"I'll be your guía (guide) through the Spanish world.
Let's start easy. Repeat after me: Hola, mi amor. "
"Hola, mi amor," Y/N echoed, her pronunciation causing Pau to grin warmly.
"Perfecto! (perfect!)" he exclaimed, leaning in to give her a quick peck on the cheek. "That means 'Hello, my love'."
As their impromptu lesson continued, Pau patiently taught Y/N new words and phrases, each one accompanied by his infectious enthusiasm.
"Try this one: Te quiero mucho," he prompted, his eyes filled with affection.
"Uh, Teh kiero moooocho?" Y/N tried tentatively.
Pau burst into laughter, and Y/N mockingly pouted.
"You're doing great, mi vida! 'Te quiero mucho' means
'I love you very much'."
Throughout the afternoon, their language session turned into moments of shared laughter and tender exchanges. Pau praised Y/N's efforts, even when she stumbled over words like "queso" and "estrella", both of them collapsing into fits of giggles.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold, Pau pulled Y/N into a warm embrace.
"You're the most paciente estudiante," he whispered, making Y/N blush.
"What does that mean?" she asked softly, looking up at him with adoring eyes.
Pau grinned, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
"It means 'patient student'. But you're more than that. You're my favorite person to teach."
With hearts full of love and a renewed joy for learning, Y/N snuggled closer to Pau, thankful for sunny afternoons, spontaneous Spanish lessons, and the simple pleasure of growing closer with each passing moment.
