Chapter 15

As Zac returned to work after his lunch after with Fatima his thoughts filled with her remarkable qualities. He couldn't help but dwell on her exceptional intelligence, stunning beauty, and compassion for others. The way she shielded her parents from her illness out of concern for them left a profound impression on Zac. Despite being just 21 years old, her selfless actions were genuinely inspiring. Determined to make a difference, Zac vowed to do everything in his power to support and assist Fatima in her journey towards recovery.

As Zac returned to the building, heading towards his office, the familiar chime of his phone caught his attention. It was a swift and subtle interruption, prompting him to retrieve his phone from his pants pocket. A smile formed on his face as he read the incoming text message.

Fatima-Hey Zac, it's Fatima. I want to thank you for treating me to that delicious lunch today. I appreciate your time listening and assisting me with my treatment process plan. Your kindness and support mean great to me, and I am truly grateful for your help.

Zac quickly responded to Fatima's message.

"Fatima, it was a pleasure chatting with you. I thoroughly enjoyed our stimulating conversation and getting to know you better. No thanks are necessary, and I appreciate the opportunity to connect with you."

Zac responded to Fatima's text and finally returned to his office. As he walked in, he heard his phone chime once more. Looking down, he noticed another message from Fatima.

Fatima- "Thank you, handsome. I had a great time with you. Let's definitely make plans to hang out again soon."

Zac- Definitely gorgeous. Tell me when and where and your availability.

Fatima – Alright. Enjoy the remainder of your day, Zac.

Zac responds to Fatima with a quick message.

   Zac- "Looking forward to catching up with you! Take care, and see you soon!"

Zac felt excited when he received a message from Fatima expressing her interest in seeing him again. For the rest of his day, he seemed to brighten up instantly. As Zac was basking in his happiness, his phone chimed again, and for a moment, he thought it was Fatima. However, he glanced at his phone and noticed it was an unknown number. Zac declined the call and settled down at his computer to continue the rest of his day.

Fatima could not stop smiling. She was absolutely taken with Zac, but in her heart of hearts, she really didn't know if starting something with him now was a good idea with the whole I'm dying from cancer situation. She definitely was attracted to his mind and how kind he was and not to mention he had a sexy ass body to go with a killer smile that would make any woman's panties wet on site.  As Fatima hurried to her car, her mind was consumed with various thoughts, making her completely unaware of the persistent ringing of her cell phone. Once inside the car, she finally noticed the incoming call and saw that it was her mother calling. Sighing, she answered the call, greeting her mother with a warm "Hey, Mommy."

Mona: "Hey there, sweetheart. Do you know why I'm calling?"

Fatima smiles at her mother's sassy remark.

Fatima: "Hey, Mom, I know why you're calling. I just wanted to update you that Dr. Stevens has recommended another round of chemotherapy with an increased dosage once a week. Additionally, he suggested trying out a new prescription drug called Lynparza, which is specifically designed for individuals with advanced ovarian cancer."

Mona: "That's fantastic! I look forward to sharing the news you told me with your father and sister this afternoon. I assume you'll be starting the new treatment process next week?
