Shreya's POV

"Abb mai ghar kese jaungi?"

(Now how I'll go back home?)

Tears started to flow from my eyes making the sight of the empty road blur. I tried to control my emotions but I couldn't. My throat is choking. I gripped my neck and tried to ease my windpipe.

I wiped my tears from the corner of my dupatta and tried to find a way out of this remote Jungle.

I wrapped my long dupatta all over me again as it was falling and wiping the road I started walking on. As per the common sense that is left in me in such a panic situation, if I follow the same road that his car has driven away from I might reach the town and get something to contact someone.

I started walking while looking back and front constantly to ensure I was all alone in such a place. I looked up to see the sun was still out but I was afraid thinking if I'd be able to reach home before dusk.

Suddenly I heard a high-pitched sound of some animal that made my heart skip a beat. I checked my surroundings once before running at the speed of light in the middle of the road.

I again turned around to check at the back but suddenly felt my body leaning to the front, making my soft skin scrap against the rough ground.

My elbows and palms ended up bleeding to prevent my face from getting smashed on the road.

I got up, cleaned the dust from my hands and clothes, and started to walk, but suddenly felt a sharp pain in my knees.

"I can't walk like this for so long" she muttered under her breath while taking some rest against a thick tree branch.

Suddenly I thought of walking back to that store, which wasn't far from the place where I was currently stuck.

But then I remembered that I covered so much distance while running and now I have to go back. This almost made me want to pluck off all my hair.

Thinking of walking back in such a condition makes me lazy but when I look at the place I'm a sudden energy to run gets generated but I can't as my knee isn't allowing that.

I started walking even slower than a snail back in the direction from which I just come. I reached the same place I was thrown out by that ungrateful man. I can't call him husband anymore.

Suddenly my eyes caught sight of an old lady covered with a rug over her back and a small basket in her hand.

Her back is almost a curve and her face is filled with wrinkles. I walked towards her with my little steps.

I thought to ask her for help as she might and phone or something that can help me get out of there.

"Hello dadi ji aapke pass phone hai?" I asked her while trying to act as sweet as possible in this painful situation.
