"Take my black card for her payment" Shreya's eyes landed on the same wristwatch she heated seeing, holding out a black card. Her eyes move eventually to the person who owns it, who is none other than Her husband.
As his eyes, with a combination of a smirk, turned to face her, Shreya rolled her eyes at the thought of him following her around. Before she could say anything, their eye contact was interrupted by the shopkeeper.
"Sir, it's a small stationery shop; we don't take payment in cards, only cash or UPI" As soon as Viraj heard this, his face turned to the other side in embarrassment, but as soon as his ears echoed with her laughers, his skin tone turned red.
"Accha hua..*controlling her laughs*..apne sau rupee ke liye cheque nahi phada, aagr bounce ho jata toh world bank se loan approve karwan padta ", Shreya replied sarcastically while holding her stomach to not bust with her giggles.
(Thank god...you didn't tear wrote cheque for a hundred rupees cuz if it bounced then the World Bank has to approve your loan)
Shaking her head from side to side while handing the money to the shopkeeper, she looked at his side to find him again pulling out his chequebook from the inner pocket of his suit.
Shreya stood confused, watching him, handing over a blank cheque to the shopkeeper while the man also gave Viraj the same look as hers.
"Sir, we don't accept cheques for small payments" The shopkeeper again repeated the same thing but was mummed at Viraj's reply.
"Are you sure you'll say the same to my offer to buy your shop?" He said while pretending to check the time on his wristwatch while slightly glancing at her to capture her reaction.
Seeing her eyes on him, a grin appeared on the corner of his lips, making her roll her eyes. His assistant came in the frame, whispering something near his ear before getting ordered by him to manage the paperwork before turning his attention back to her.
'Has he lost his mind? Itni garmi toh nahi hai,' Shreya thought in her mind as she looked up in the sky, checking for the sun to see if it had any effect on him. But Caught him grinning while looking in her direction, she left with her stuff to walk back home.
(The weather is not that hot)
"Sir, paperwork will be done soon, but what will you do with all this stuff?" His assistant came back and handed Viraj a file, which he opened and started turning pages while signing on each one after acknowledging the words on it.
"Open a stationary shop", Viraj replied simply while keeping his gaze fixed on the papers while his lips formed a smile.
"But why sir"
"For her"

Shreya peeked through the door side to check if the freeloader's aunties were still gathering in her hall like a public park, but to her relief, there were none or else she had to again get her tongue ready for the round 'Verbal Dhulayi: Shreya vs. Mohalle ki aunties' part II.
