Viraj finally closed his laptop, after attending an hour session with a client from abroad. He looked at the time only to find it had crossed eleven already. He rubbed his eyes before getting up from the couch and looking out of the window to find the white rays scattering over the black sky with little stars twinkling like diamonds.
He sighs as he opens the door only to find a female servant walking through the corridor. She asked as soon as she noticed his presence and bowed to him in respect. Viraj didn't care about this at the moment but something else more important, for which his eyes were tracing every corner of the mansion to spot that particular person whom he asked to meet after dinner.
After he couldn't spot her, he asked the servant about her, only for her to say that she hadn't seen Shreya for hours. He signs and gestures for her to go back to work. He checks his room and Terrance, which she considers as her room, only to find her missing.
He asked other servants of the mansion to search for her as if their life depended on it. Checking every corner of the house, from the backyard to the storerooms, they reported the sign to be negative. Hearing so much hassle, all the family members gathered in the lobby, only to find Viraj standing there with a drained face while several servants were standing in line in front of him.
"What's happening, Viraj?" Asked Dileep as he has never seen him in such phrases ever. His mom was also shocked at his silence. But he came out of his zone when he heard his father's loud voice, "What's happening here?"
Before his father could walk down the stairs to approach him, he marched out of the main gate, leaving everyone in shock. His mom tried to follow him but stopped when heard someone call for her.
"Arpana, Tum uske piche nahi Jaogi!" Arpana turned around only to find Rajdev and Sobha standing in the middle of the stairs while Rajdev's voice echoed through the dark mansion.
(Arpana, you wouldn't go behind him!)
"Main Kyu nahi jaugi? Mera beta hai voh!" Arapan asks as tears spill from her eyes as she maintains eye contact with them. Wiping off her tears with the back of her hand, she again turned around but stopped when she heard another echo.
(Why can't I? He is my son!)
"Thik hai lekin yeh yaad rakhna ki ek baar tumhare kadam iss chaukhat ke bhar gaye toh fir vapas nahi aa sakte" Sobha said as her face had rigid expression plastered.
Arpana turned around with her eyes blood red, she turned her head towards her husband, who was also looking at her. Glancing at him to speak on his behalf, but as she waited for him to speak, Amar chose to stay mum.
Feeling betrayed by her husband, Arpan could not help but burst into crying as she ran upstairs and locked herself in her room. Soon everyone went to their room, except three people.
Amar approached Rajdev and Sobha, And question them about the issue that just happened and if they know what happened. Rajdev explained everything about how they sent Shreya back to her home without informing anyone at home.
