Chapter 4: The mother of dragons
────────────────

NADIA  BARATHEON

━━━ IT HAD been three more days of horrid sailing. So many hours of throwing up, headaches, and lack of sleep. It didn't even feel like it would be worth it once the pain was over. Because at the end of things, I would live in a place where a Targaryen sits on the throne with three dragons as its guardian. Creatures that I believe are meant to be extinct, but the girl managed to bring them back.

I wonder if she's a good ruler. Do the people love her or put up with her? Truly respect her or simply fear her? Curiosity gnawed at my mind just like it did as a child.

Elio would still walk in a couple of times every day. His excuse was that he had to bring me food, but I firmly believe my distress makes him feel better about himself. Yet, I insistently refrained from speaking with him or responding to his teasing. The sea already had me in a bad spirit and I did not wish to make it worse by humoring him.

They only useful thing he has given me was a Low and High valyrian dictionary. A language I perhaps could've learned from Uncle Tyrion, if I had not been so bored by it.

"Ta...taouba? No, tauoba." I cringe at the unfamiliar pronunciation before looking down at Nyra who's head lays on my lap. Bright yellow eyes staring up at me in judgement. "No, that doesn't sound right does it?"

It's a sudden jerk of force that causes me to whack my head against the underside of the top bunk bed.

"Ow," I smoothen my swollen head. Do pirates not know how to sail their own boats? Was that even a wave? It felt more like the boat had smacked against a rock. Or perhaps...a dock?

I quickly rid the sweaty sheets off me. Desperation for leaving this forsaken ship that's been driving me near the depths of hell. Even Nyra seemed enthusiastic to leave. She was hungry, that was one thing I was entirely sure about.

I walk out of the only bedroom to head towards his office. The only room which contains the door leading towards the main deck. I would finally feel the fresh sun on my face, hear something other than the ocean, eat no more seafood, and manage to keep it down.

"What the cock is this?" I stop myself from opening the door as I hear a deep unknown voice on the other side of it. "You said 'this nothing sack of silver will turn to gold if we follow through.' And that's what came to pass. Now you wanna hold the whore locked down there all for your beer-bellied hand? Is the cunt treating you that good, Captain?"
