ALPHA'S POV

I turn back to my seat beside the bed and hold Emily's hand again.
I look at her before bringing it to my lips and kissing the back of it, then knuckles and all her fingers before wrapping it in both of my palms.

"Get well soon, dear."
"Please get well and come back because I need you. I can't live again without us jogging every night together, without you filling my life with those smiles, happy and calm moments deep in me." I twist her hand and rest my cheek in her soft palm. "I haven't told you that I loved you at first sight, Emily. I haven't kissed you, I haven't showered my feelings and love all over you as a warm cover that summer covers us with. Get up, dear. Get up because I have always been here waiting for you and me to rewrite our story on the stars. To live our love and story like the only characters alive. Wake up, please." I close my eyes and allow myself the vulnerability of being in Emily's presence.

Seeing her in this situation is killing me and touching places that I never knew were able to be touched and worse, shatter.

I want to strangle Sky and wipe her off the earth's existence but she is in a position I can't get to her that easily without making a scene.

I need all the information regarding the attack before moving forward.
I lay my head beside her with her palm on my cheek and I don't know how it happens but the next time, I'm opening my eyes again to Joffrey standing there with flowers and 'Get well soon, dear.' Plaques in his hands.

"Hey, is Alpha still there?" I wipe the sleep out of my face before straightening my sore muscles from the position I laid in last night.

"Oh, Good morning Alpha."

"Good morning, Janet." She smiles at me and I can tell from her refreshen, that she looks almost brand new. Which is what I was hoping for.

"Good morning Joffrey,"

"Hello, Mr. Major General." It's then that Moses comes in too.

"Oh, Major General is awake?"
"Did you catch him in bed with Emily?"

"Jesus, Moses. Emily is recovering and this is a hospital room. Watch your thoughts." I say back to his accusations. But he just pouts his lips like I just offended him.

"Hey, mind your thoughts yourself, I was wondering just how you spent the night."

"We brought you food and I took the liberty to ask Moses to get you a new change and don't even think of turning me down. Because I know those are the clothes you were jogging with when all happened that you haven't changed from." Touché.

"And I wondered where the smell kept coming from?" I glare at Moses for that comment. Was it necessary?

"Thank you, Janet." She smiles appreciatively. "Then go shower and change into that bathroom." I nod my head and leave without another word but with the bag of change they got me.

It feels weird showering in a room knowing in the other there are people out there and you can even make out their voices.
But I manage to get those thoughts out of my mind and just shower, which isn't like there aren't doors that are locked.

I feel glad when the hot waters hit my skin, just what I wanted but I wouldn't have gone to get if Janet wasn't considerate enough.
I wouldn't have had the pleasure of relaxing before getting to the bottom of Emily's situation.

In contrast to Janet's attentiveness, I can't just shrug it off.
I finish my business in the small shower and reach back in my bag, I feel glad at the set of towels they packed for me.

I wrap one around my waistline and throw the other carelessly on my shoulder as I step forward at the basin to brush my teeth.
I finish and quickly dry my body and change into the attire that Moses got me.
