ALPHA'S POV

I don't know how much time the doctor take being that in that room but I know it's not long. They walk out looking as neutral as they can get.

I jump on them. "What happened?"

"It was a shock while in a coma, it happens a lot." I frown.

"What does it mean? Is she alive?"

"It doesn't change anything, we will keep supervising her until she makes further recovery or..." He doesn't have to continue for me to understand what he means.
Or she dies.
God, no, no, please.

"For now she is stabilized, you can see her." I also don't wait to be told that twice. I leave them in the hallway and walk back into the room and true to the doctor's words. She is stabilized and she looks like she is sleeping peacefully and that she would wake up.

I close the door behind me, walk closer to Emily's bed lean down, and kiss her forehead.
"I'm in love with you, mon cœur." I kiss her cheek pull back and walk back to where I was sitting and hold her hand again before laying a kiss on her palm.

I hold it in mine and then lay down back to where it was before lowering my head beside our grasped hands to try and get in some sleep.

I don't know for how long I sleep but the feel of something grasping me firmer and with strength awakens me.

I open my eyes and the room is still as I fell sleep looking like but at the feeling of what woke up. My eyes fall on my hand and seeing Emily's moving and tightening her hold. I raise my eyes and meet hers.

Pale and searching, but open.
I blink my eyes a couple of times, I close and open to see if I'm seeing things but when I open pale, black orbs that are searching hold mine.

Oh my God, Emily's eyes are open.
I get up to my feet and move close to her, I cup her one cheek as I tilt her head to my side. The happiness I'm feeling at the moment, makes me cry.
Tears fall from my eyes as we hold each other's eye contact and not so long. Hers starts to wet too.

But I quickly reach up and wipe them. "Emily?" I call and more tears fall from my eyes when she nods.
It's small, short, and weak but it's a nod. It's a move. She is awake.

My God! Thank you, Father.
I lower my head to the pillow beside her head and just weep.
I finally let myself be vulnerable and weak in so how long? I don't know and I fucking don't care.

My shoulders shake as I cry my relief,
I can't help the gratitude that I feel so deep in my heart for having her again.

I pull back at that thought to confirm that I have her and I'm not imagining things. However meeting her crying eyes too, feels like heaven.

"You are awake?" I ask but it's more like a statement.
"You are awake," I repeat this time firmly stating. She nods again.

"C—" Her voice is sore and when she clears her throat, I turn to look out for water and not find some.
I shoot up on my feet getting ready to run the hospital down fetching for water but my eyes fall on the small fridge on the other side of Emily's bed.

I walk to it and open it, reaching for a bottle of water, I untwist the cup and then rush to where Emily is. I raise her head slowly and bring the cup closer to her lips. I helped her take a few sips and pull back so she could swallow. I give her a few more sips before she nods telling me she's had enough.

I cup the bottle again before I rest it on the nightstand of the hospital's bed. I walk back to the seat and hold her hand again.
"I should go call the doctor," She shakes her head.
