• GIYUU •

I wore a black fundoshi with a slightly blue pattern and I tie my hair as usual, nothing much of a changed but I just dressed nicely for her.

I'm standing at the bridge alone since the bridge is the best place to watch the firework and gladly not a lot of people would come to this place to watch the firework since most of the people are standing right at the city to tilt their head up to watch the show.

It's already 11:50pm and Kochou hasn't shown up, she did tell me she is busy yesterday but she would slack the time off to come here yet she's not here, she is perhaps busy I bet.

I grip my hand anxiously and the sadness slowly fills in my body, I look at the river under the bridge silently having no thoughts at all, letting the cold wind slap on my face, end up I am the only one watching the firework alone.

I shouldn't have asked her out at all, she is a busy, independent and hand working woman after all, who the hell am I kidding?

I heard breath all of a sudden towards me, "T-tomioka-san!" the familiar voice yelled out my name tiredly as I looked at my left side to only find out Kochou is standing there tiredly.

She must have run her way here, I'm aware of it by the looks of hers, I raised my brows and my face looks relief as ever.

Shinobu is wearing a purple kimono with a bit of a pink pattern as well, she lets down her hair but she still puts on her butterfly pin on the back of her hair, she slowly walks her way to the bridge with heavy breath.

"there's still five minutes left!" she said and sighs of relief about it and I bit my lips nervously.

"I thought you were not coming.." I said in a low tone that made her taken by surprise and she quickly shook her head, "no! I was putting my stuff aside and that's why I'm late, I'm so sorry" she apologized, I took out my handkerchief and gave it to her to wipe off the sweats on her head, she gladly accepted it.

"at least you're here now" I for sure are relieved now that she's beside me.

"you look good, Tomioka-san" I got flustered by her words easily and I tried to hide my blushing face though she is giggling at me.

I look at her and she is staring at the dark full moon, the cold wind is hitting on her face and I raise my brows slightly as my hand automatically goes to her black purple hair, I tug her hair behind her ears that caught her off guard and I didn't know why I did that but I just did it.

"you're beautiful" I said in a low tone and she tilted her head to the side cutely, she covered her mouth then furrowed her brows with a chuckle coming out, "eh? what a surprise from you, Tomioka-san" she said and I got rid of my hand from her nervously.

My gaze slowly turns at the full round moon quietly, a memory appears in my head, I remember the day especially my first mission with Kochou, she asked me about the moon, isn't the moon lovely?

This phrase is a more poetic way of saying I love you in Japanese, a lot of people tend to confess by mentioning the moon and I remembered she asked me, I was too focused on killing demons and thought she was joking about it, after all, she likes to tease me and eventually I'm the one who fall for her.

"the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" I asked her sincerely.

As the fireworks blew up at the right time, it started, some shot straight up before exploding, others whirled in a spiral, some shatter into thousands of sparks, others tumble like a scarlet waterfall or float in a glittering silver shower, it's colourful up there on the dark sky with the full moon, it's dazzling and beautiful.
