• SHINOBU •

I have been stuck in this place for almost two weeks from now and the confession also had been passed for two weeks as I didn't put my mind into it that long since I keep on distracting myself with loads of works and didn't bother to go back to the butterfly mansion because I wouldn't want to bump myself to see Giyuu though I did wrote a letter to Kanao telling her that I will not be back home for a couple weeks.

I eventually messed up some antitode in the past few days and I had to do it again with conduct some research on poison.

It's already ten in the night, I'm still working on the antidote in Tamayo-sama's estate without having my dinner since I'm not hungry or more likely that I put all of my focus on my work without even realizing it's already night time.

Someone knocks on the door and it opens, it's Yushiro, "Tamayo-sama inform me to tell you that you should go home now" he told me with a stern voice but my eyes are glued on the acid fluid that I didn't care about his existence at all.

"don't mind me, I will go home by myself later, go and take a rest, Yushiro-san" I said and I heard a deep sigh from him as he was about to close back the door but he turned back to look at me again, "if that so you will expect a visit later" he added and I raised my brows confusedly, he has successfully caught my attention and my eyes laid up to him.

"this late? who is it?" I asked and he didn't answer my question then walked away from the room and closed the door.

It's probably Tamayo-sama who wants to work with me this late cause she's the only work partner that I had and I wouldn't expect anyone to come visit me with a surprise especially at night time, it's late and demons are out there, it's dangerous.

I wouldn't want to go home too since I had a room here to stay that Tamayo lent me if I'm too tired to go home but she did in fact give me a few days of breaks for me to rest but I refused it since working is an important thing to me especially for my sister.

She told me to go home to visit my family multiple times but I rejected it as well because I'm a very occupied woman, I wrote letters for my family instead so they wouldn't have to worry about me.

The door suddenly knocked and my head looked up at the door since the person didn't come in, Tamayo-sama would have come in the room after knocking without my consent so it made me weird for a second.

"you can come in, Tamayo-sama" I said out loud enough for her to hear outside but she wouldn't come in that made me get up from my chair.

The other side is silent after the knocking and confusion filled my mind, I walked to the door and was about to reach out for it until the person finally spoke out.

"it's me.." my heart immediately dropped to the ground, hearing the familiar voice that I enjoyed talking to and my mind went blank.

I don't know how to react nor act in front of him but all I heard is that my heart is beating loudly for him. I tried to stay composed by taking a deep breath and furrowing my brows as I went to open the door.

"Tomioka-san.. what are you doing here?" I asked with a heavy tone and this is what Yushiro-san meant when he told me that I'm expected with a visitor but out of all people, why him?

I open the door widely as I walk back to my paperwork then continue to do my work, trying to act as if nothing had happened at all though I am very much nervous about everything.

"you shouldn't be here" I added.

"your sister wrote me a letter for me to pick you home so go home" he said and closed the door, it's only the two of us now and I narrow my brows, why would Kanao want me to go back home?
