I was waiting for her at the exact same spot at the same time but she was late to my surprise, it's the first time she's ever been late cause she's always on time no matter what, I have been waiting for her for almost twenty minutes.

I heard a deep panting breath run over to me, the familiar voice echoed my ears as I turned my head to the voices and it's Shinobu who's running.

Something caught me off guard that left my mouth hanging open, the moment when Kochou was standing in front of me with her deep breath from all of the running, everything about her is unusual.

Her hair is not tied up with her butterfly pin, she loosen her smooth black purple hair and the fact that she's forgetting about her haori is scaring me, and also it's my first time seeing her being tired since she usually has a lot of stamina and running wouldn't affect her but today, it did affect her.

Shinobu only remembers to bring her sword, she looks like she just woke up from her bed and she looks like a mess, really a mess.

"Kochou.. are you okay?" I asked her and her hand holding the tree to be stable on herself.

"you look like a mess" I told her and she shook her head for a second as she realized she had forgotten about her haori and the cold is hitting on her skin that makes her shiver.

"let's just end this quick and go home, shall we?" Kochou exclaims and she quickly runs through those trees up to search for the demons.

Demons.

Kochou had something in common with me that we hated demons a lot, they are the reason why our loved one died and led us to our depression and become a demon slayer then ended up becoming a Hashira.

The way she sometimes uses her breathing style can easily tell her sarcastically by killing those demons by one blow, even though she had no strength in her upper body, she can't kill demons by their neck so she uses poison instead, her incredible IQ impresses me.

Gladly the villagers who live around here quickly leave somewhere safe so the demons wouldn't go around eating them, surprisingly, there's a lot of demons tonight.

Slashing and slashing, they are weak but there's a bunch of them, I don't know what Kochou is doing but I know she'll be fine with these lower rank demons.

"water breathing, tenth form : constant flux" a continuous flowing attack that becomes deadlier by generating more speed and momentum.

The demons around me quickly got rid of my water breathing skills. The area around me is clear and no more demons as I see, I put my sword back and try to search for Kochou as I just realized I already lost that girl.

She had fast feet, I jumped on the tree and tried to look for her but I failed my gaze, she had a small body and it's hard to detect her and even hard when she's not wearing her haori and butterfly pin, sweats rolling through my skin despite the cold weather.

I gripped my hand nervously and started to jump trees to other trees to find her, I narrowed my brows and the time has actually passed by one hour and a half, she's being nowhere creeps me out.

The fight was long and not seeing her in my sight was long as well, I am starting to get concerned and how can a girl like her even run so far without even signaling me. I mean we don't really signal each other but we know our limit to not go too far so when we need help and we'll be able to help each other easily but unlike right now, she's making me anxious.
