Thanksgiving is this weekend and I've been pondering on what Denise said to me at the game.. taking Jude with me might not be a bad idea.

My mom will certainly keep her mouth shut if a multimillionaire is present.

Since it's Thursday I decided to start packing for the trip. Jude was in training, probably his last until after thanksgiving. Everybody probably wants to go home to visit their families for a few days.

I put my phone on speaker, tossing it on the bed. 'Hello?' Maya picked up. "Hey, I'm coming back to England for thanksgiving." I folded another shirt.

'Okay... what's wrong with that? Is it your mom again?' She sounded worried.

"No, no. I was just wondering if.. I should bring Jude with me. He's already going with his mum back to England." I squeezed one of the suitcases shut.

'Girl, if it were me I'd bring that sexy man and show him off.' She laughed. "Maya!" My jaw dropped.

'What? If your mom sees how well off you are, she might straighten herself up. And it doesn't hurt that Jude happens to be the most beautiful man alive.' Maya teased. "Yeah well he's also the most annoying man alive." I huffed.

'Have you guys even kissed yet?'

Almost.. kind of? No. "We're in a contractual relationship. We don't have to kiss." I rolled my eyes. 'But I bet you both want to.' She giggles.

"You're such a middle school girl." I shake my head, smiling. 'On a serious note.. go ask him when you pick him up from practice today.' She said. "Okay, I will. Thanks." I hung up.

JUDE POV

I grabbed a bottle from the bench, squeezing the water into my mouth. It was an unusually hot day in Madrid.

Coach wanted us to stay hydrated during the holidays so we can be ready for the upcoming games.

"How you holding up?" Alaba placed a hand on my shoulder. "I can't figure women out.." I'd sigh, handing him the water bottle.

"You of all people are having lady trouble?" He snickered. "Shut up." I rolled my eyes. "What's the issue with your lady friend?" He squirted the water into his mouth.

"She's just so confusing. One minute we're about to kiss, then the next I get shut out like a stranger." I shrug.

In a way, we are strangers. But she's been here for almost a month, I was hoping she would've opened up a little.

"Maybe she's just scared?" He shrugged. "Scared of what, though?" I groaned. "Commitment." He put his water on the ground. Why would she be afraid of commitment?

"The best thing to do is ask her instead of trying to put the pieces together." He patted my shoulder and jogged back to the field.

Even in high school women were easy to please, so why is Eleanor so different?

3 HOURS LATER

I packed up my things. Practice was finally over and I could eat. My stomach rumbled so loud that a couple of my teammates that were still lurking in the locker room turned their heads.
