Eleanor POV

I sat at the dining table, glancing around me. Jude and Jobe were arguing about something stupid while their mother brought out a bowl of cranberry. Their father looked happy to be there as he watched the two bicker back and forth.

His attention turned to me. I think he noticed I was staring. "So, Eleanor, right?" He gave me a soft smile. "Yes, sir." I nodded. "Just call me Mark. No need to be so proper." He smiled even brighter.

"Okay...Mark." I watched as Jude's mom set down the last pot on the table and then finally took a seat. "You boys better stop fighting in front of our guest." She gently smacked Jude and Jobe upside their heads.

I let out a small snicker, finding the entire situation comedic. "Are you laughing at me?" Jude raised a brow. "Very much so, yes," I smirked. He rolled his eyes.

"Let's pray." Denise stretched out her hand for me to hold. "Dear Heavenly Father, I pray over this Thanksgiving dinner. I also pray over my sons. Please help them to keep achieving their goals and even beyond that. I pray over Eleanor that she's adjusting to her new home in Spain and that Jude is treating her with respect. In Jesus' name-" Denise pauses for a moment.

Everyone joins in, saying 'amen'. "Let's eat." Denise grabbed a knife and cut up the turkey. I was quite surprised with how aggressive she was with it. "Do you want a leg, Eleanor?" She paused and looked at me. "Yes, please." As soon as I answered she ripped off the leg and plopped it on my plate.

I'm 100% sure some of the juices splattered onto everyone's faces. "Thank you.." I awkwardly said as I saw her slap turkey on the rest of their plates.

"So, what do you do for work?" Mark glanced over at me, cutting into his turkey. "I'm a beauty and fitness influencer, so I post a lot on social media. I was going to work toward a bachelor's degree in business science, but that fell through." I scooped another spoonful of potato on my plate.

"How did you two meet?" Jobe raised his voice, glancing back and forth at Jude and me. "We met at a cafe Jude usually goes to in Spain." I tried to avoid eye contact with Jobe. He was already probing us. "Yeah. She spilled her coffee and I offered to pay for it. Then I found out she was a Madrid fan." Jude smiled at me.

"Interesting." Jobe sat back in his chair, glancing at his brother. "Isn't that adorable?" Denise giggles to herself. "Anyway... are you still in school, Jobe?" I try to change the subject. "No." He answers blankly. Okay... that didn't work.

I glance over to Jude as a plea for help. "Since we're all basically done with our plates. Can I show Eleanor around the house?" He looked over at his mom. She nodded, still finishing her turkey.

Jude and I both stood up and I followed him deeper into the house. There were various pictures of him and his brother when they were small. "I love your house. It's very homey." I'd take a closer look at all the family photos.

"Thanks." He picked up a photo. It was one with his grandfather, him, and Jobe. He stared at it for a good minute before I spoke up. "Is everything alright?" I raised a brow. "Yeah. it's just my grandpa died earlier this year so, it's weird seeing him in pictures." He shrugged, setting the frame back down.

"Oh, I'm sorry-" I tried to console him, but he kept walking. We turned a corner and there was a sign saying, "Jude's Cove". He opened the door for me. "Wow." I walked over to a rack of cleats that looked beat up. They were also tiny in size, so I'm guessing these were when he was young.

"Your feet were so tiny." I put my hand next to it to compare. "You should see my jerseys." He chuckled. I plopped down onto his bed. There were posters of Zidane everywhere. "You weren't kidding when you said you were obsessed with Zidane." I smiled.

"You have no idea." He sat down next to me. I looked at him for a few seconds. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked. "I thought Thanksgiving should be celebrated with family, so I brought you to mine." He shrugged.

"Oh." I glanced around the room again, feeling the awkward tension build. "Eleanor.." He placed his hand on top of mine. I turned back to look at him. He brought his hand up to my face. "Mhm?" I looked down at his lips.

"I think I like you." He glances down to my lips as well. He pulls me in, and we kiss. His lips are softer than I remember. I brought my hand up to cup the side of his face. He slowly lays me on my back. I wrap my arm around his neck, deepening the kiss.

We separate for some air. "I feel like this is different than when you kissed me in the car." I tried to ignore the loud thumping in my chest. He brought his lips back to mine. This time the kiss felt more desperate.

His hand ran up my thigh, sending shivers down my body. He abruptly pulled away from the kiss and leaned down. He placed soft kisses on my neck, occasionally sucking in some spots. I quietly gasped, my back arching a little.

I reached under his shirt, gliding my hand across his abs. His stomach tightened as I grazed my hand over it. He grabbed my wrist and pinned it next to my head. "Don't do that." He said breathily.

I pulled him into another kiss. This time I parted my lips, allowing him more access. He brought his knee in between my legs. Just as things were about to get good someone knocked on the door.

Jude and I quickly separated. I tried to fix my hair and clothes. The heat from my face was probably still very evident. Jude walked over to the door and opened it. "Mum wanted me to tell you we're having pie soon." Jobe looked Jude up and down like he already suspected something.

"Okay. I'll be there in a second." Jude nodded, closing the door. He turned around to look at me and I almost died laughing at the thought of us getting caught by his BROTHER. That would've been extremely embarrassing.

"We're finishing this later." He playfully rolls his eyes at me snickering. "Try to find a more private place next time, will you?" I stood up from the bed. "It's my room! How more private can it get?" He threw his hands out. "Yeah, with three other people in the house." I patted his shoulder, walking passed him.
