ELLIE POV

-

The six months and the contract were coming to an end. It feels unreal that I'll be back to my normal life in two weeks—well, maybe not normal. Maya is on a witch hunt to track down Antonio.

I wish she would just let it go, it's clear he has the money and resources to disappear. She's just stubborn as hell though.

"What do you think of this dress?" Maya held up another skimpy sleek dress. "We're just going out to dinner." I roll my eyes. "Yeah, but Jude also happens to be there. Don't you want to show him what he's missing out on?" She wiggles her brows.

"Ew, no." I throw my pillow at her. "Fine, fine. Wear sweatpants, wear nothing, it's not like he cares." She shrugs, putting the dress back into my closet. My face slightly reddened at her comment. Even though Jude has been a dick to me so far, I can see subtle hints that he wants to apologize.

He offers to take me out for dinner, get me coffee, walk me places, and make me food (even though he only knows how to microwave leftovers). It's the gesture that counts. I'm still not ready to forgive him yet, he hasn't quite earned my trust back.

Now, if I told Maya that she would flip out and ask me, "How the hell is he supposed to earn your trust back if you don't tell him how to?" Which, in a way... she's right. I'm still trying to think of a way how he can regain my trust.

"How about this dress?" Maya pulled out a misty blue sundress, it was flowy at the bottom, and tight on the top. The back was open with a cute little bow. "Yes, that one." I took it from her and quickly changed in the bathroom. I admired myself in the mirror. It had been a month since I dressed up like this.

Maya came into the bathroom to tighten the strings, pulling my waist inward about 2 inches to create the 'hourglass' effect. "If Jude won't bang you in this dress, maybe Trent will." She ties it off and touches up her lip liner.

"Maya!" I slap her hand. "What? I'm tired of this whole love triangle." She rolls her eyes. "What love triangle? There isn't any." I shake my head and grab some eyeliner from the counter.

"Trent doesn't look at you like a friend would. He constantly is trying to get your attention in hopes that you'll choose him." She blatantly says. I freeze, trying to process the words that just came out of her mouth.

"We've been friends for so long, why would he like me now?" I turned to look at her. "He's always liked you. You're just too distracted by Jude to see it." She rubs her lips together, wiping any excess from the corners off.

"This is too chaotic..." I begin taking out the rollers from my hair. "Which one do you like?" She helps take out the back ones. "I...Jude? I don't know..." I sigh deeply.

"Tonight you should watch both of them carefully, and if you don't like either then fuck 'em all. But, if you like one of them... go for it. Stop hesitating." She runs her hands through my hair to break up the clumped curls.
"Fine.."

As soon as I finish my mascara and eyeliner, we rush downstairs to see Denise and Jude waiting for us. "Oh, honey, you look beautiful." Denise hugged me, kissing my cheek. "Thank you." I looked over her shoulder to see Jude staring straight at me.

"Don't you think you'll get cold? It's almost 60 degrees outside." She examined my bare arms. "It'll be fine." I waved her off.
