"Okay- don't get mad." I put my hands up defensively. "You're so much better than that.." He sighed, resting his head on the steering wheel. "Why the fuck are you doing this to yourself? Did you even want to move?" He'd turn to look at me.
I bit the inside of my cheek, not sure how to answer. "Listen, I needed the money." I shrugged. "Money? You could've asked for help!? You already know I'm loaded." He rolled his eyes.
"That's the exact reason I didn't ask you. I'm not about to be a freeloader." I scoffed, shaking my head. "Oh- but you'd rather date someone you don't even like." He put the car back into drive and continued driving through the parking lot.
"I never said I didn't like him.." I mumbled. "Ohhhhh. I get it now." He nodded. "You have a little crush on him." Trent looked disappointed. "Who wouldn't?" I threw my hands up.
"Unbelievable. What's in it for Jude? Why the hell did he even agree to this?" He kept asking question after question, trying to drill into me. "He was getting bad rep or something." I shrugged.
"Why don't you ever ask for help... And you let people control you way too easily." He glared at me. I opened my mouth to defend myself. As I thought about what he said I realized he was right. I did let people control me.
"It's fine because I only have about 3 more months until we break up." I went on my phone, scrolling through social media. "You better be prepared to wait that long." Trent pulls into a fast food drive thru.
"Do you want the usual?" He asks. "Yeah." I didn't even need to check what place it was since he already knew all of my orders.
I kept scrolling through social media until I got a notification from Maya. New Message: WTF.

"I'll spare you a fry or two." I giggled, putting half a fry in my mouth. I begin taunting him with it. "You're sleeping on the floor." He scowled at me, ripping the other half of the fry out of my mouth and shoving it into his.
