Ishitha's POV
The silence that enveloped the room after Aadarsh's departure was deafening.
I stood rooted to the spot, absorbing what had just happened.
My legs felt weak, and it felt like, they could no longer support my weight.
My vision blurred with unshed tears, and the world seemed to tilt, the edges of reality fraying.
My breaths came in short, rapid gasps as I fought to keep myself from breaking down completely.
But it was a losing battle.
The fear and helplessness I had been holding at bay surged forward, overwhelming me with a force I couldn't resist.
"No, no, no.., plea..please not now" I whispered, clutching my chest as the panic took hold.
My heart pounded wildly, each beat echoing like a drum in my ears.
And my hands trembled violently.
I glanced around the room, my eyes searching for an escape from this nightmare.
But there was none.
I was trapped, suffocated by the weight of the marriage agreement I had signed, the forced marriage that bound me to a life of fear.
My knees buckled, and I sank to the floor, my body shaking uncontrollably.
Tears streamed down my face as I hugged myself tightly, trying to hold on to the last shreds of my sanity.
I rocked back and forth, my sobs breaking the silence that seemed to press down on me.
My mind raced with thoughts of my family.
Adi lying on the floor, his face in pain, and blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, where his breaths were labored.
"Adi..." I gasped, crawling towards my brother, my voice barely a whisper.
"I'm so sor...sor...sorry... I fa...fai..failed to prote...protect you..."
But despite his own pain, he tried to reach out to me, his hand shaking as he touched my arm.
"Ishuu... don't... blame yourself... It's n...not your fault..."
My breaths became shallower and quicker, each one a desperate gasp for air.
My chest felt tight, as though a vice was squeezing my lungs.
My vision narrowed further, the edges darkening as my body fought to stay conscious.
My heart raced faster and faster, the erratic rhythm echoing in my ears.
I could hear my own pulse, a frantic drumbeat that only heightened my sense of panic.
My hands and feet tingled, then went numb, the sensation spreading up my limbs like ice.
I tried to focus on my breathing and tried to ground myself, but the fear and exhaustion were too overwhelming.
My mind was a whirlwind of terror, each thought more distressed than the last.
I felt disconnected from my body, the room seemed to spin faster, and felt the walls closing in on me.
My vision was almost completely dark now, just a narrow tunnel of light in the center.
