Aadarsh's POV

Minutes have stretched into hours, and time has lost all meaning. I couldn't tell how long it had been since we brought her here.

I sat beside her bed, my fingers lightly tracing over her hand, her skin still cold to the touch.

Machines beeped softly around us, their rhythmic sounds the only signs of life in the room.

I couldn't stop looking at her face—so still, her features soft yet distant, as if she were trapped in a world I couldn't reach.

"Jaan..." I whispered, my voice cracking.

"I don't know if you can hear me, but I need you to wake up.

I need you to come back to me.

Please."

Swallowing the lump in my throat, I brushed my fingers against her cheek.

"You've always been so damn stubborn," I murmured, a weak chuckle escaping my lips despite the heaviness in my heart.

"You fight with me over every little thing, always pushing my buttons. You don't let me control you, and that's what I... love about you." The word slipped out, raw and honest.

"Love."

A deep, shaky breath filled my lungs, tightening my chest with every word. "Jaan, mera bacha..." I whispered, the words barely louder than the hum of the machines.

"I never fully understood what this feeling was until now, but now I know there is no me without you."

The memories of our time together flooded my mind, each one a bittersweet reminder of the time we shared.

I tightened my grip on her hand, resting my forehead against her cold fingers.

The guilt gnawed at me, twisting the knife deeper with every breath she struggled to take.

"I know I've made countless mistakes," I confessed, my voice trembling as painful memories resurfaced.

"By marrying you forcefully, kidnapping you, bringing you home against your will... I was selfish. I didn't think about how much you would suffer."

"But I promise you," I choked out, my voice breaking under the weight of my emotions, "your husband will make everything right. Jaan, please... wake up." I pressed a soft kiss against her knuckles, my heart aching with every word I spoke.

"I can't bear to see you like this any longer," I whispered, my voice barely holding together. "You mean my world, bachaaa."

I pressed my forehead against her hand, trembling as I fought to keep the flood of emotions at bay. "I can't do this without you. I love you, Jaan. I've probably loved you since the moment you came into my life...but I was too adamant to accept it" My voice broke..as I was lost in the quiet room.

"And now, seeing you like this... helpless... it's killing me."

Three days. It had been three fucking days since she had slipped into this terrifying silence.

The doctors had administered the antidote, assuring me it was working, but her body was too weak.

The poison had ravaged her from the inside, and now all we could do was wait.
